Time will tell how well this turns out for us, bearing in mind Chico's comments. Good to see him signed IMO, will provide a bit of weight and strength upfront and we did need another striker. Word is that Manny is signed up so if that is true this looks to be Good News Week.(y)

On another note there seems to be some dissatisfaction at Pompey re DN!!!!
 

I'm with chico. Will yak strengthen our team? Answer is YES. Will he justify his price tag? I am not convince at this point of time.
Won't be surprise to see him become the next whipping boy because of his price, and rightly so! For 11 million, I expect more. Glad to eat humble pie if proven wrong.

My expectation, at least 15 to 20 goals a season to convince me.
What's the rest of yours?
 
I expect the same of all our strikers, 10-15 minimum and 15+ for a great season, with arteta, cahill and now osman scoring regulary thats a lot of goals not to mention the odd few here and there from corners set peices etc.

in short, 10 goals from yak by the end of the season would make me happy, next season I want double that :D

Sounds like typical pointless red tape. To say our transfers have been drawn out this season is the biggest understatement of all time. I'm amazed the problems we've had with every one. The jagiela deal seems easy now in comparison!
 

The work permit is just a formality.

Back to topic though. I'd be happy if each of our strikers do 10+ goals in the league. If they do that and our midfielder contribute a goal here and there and our defenders heads home a corner or FK.. then we'll score a lot of goals.

I could be wrong ghost, but whenever a non EU changes his/her employer they then require a new work permit. Not quite the same as a visa, but as he has been here for a while then there will be no hiccups. Like I said I could be wrong though but I am fairly confident.
 
Simailar to Blue wiz though, back to topic.

I want 1 goal per million in this season, and double that the next. I am sure that is not too unrealistic for my expectations. He knows the league, can play the football, and our players will make him more than welcome, so barring injury he has no excuse.

i wanna see both hittin the 15 (league) goals mark... we've spent a lot of money on the 2 of them (£20mil!!) and imo if theyre not doin that then theyre not doin their job
