If your face doesnt fit - No way. Just call us FC Blackadder.Do we get to appeal to an impartial court then? I.E not a panel of the prosecution?
It sounds a bit like China ototherwise.

This with respect isn't always true. Sheffield Wednesday but especially Derby used very similar arguments.
If your employer underpays your tax HMRC come right back to you for it. Other than rare instances like that, there wouldn’t be much scope for HMRC to audit you via PAYE unless you were claiming additional out of office expenses, which if they looked dodgy would have you having to account for.
I think most other PL clubs would look sympathetically at Everton. Its not like you're trying to cheat like City, and the bottom line is money counts for everything. The PL is a better league having Everton in it rather than any of the teams coming up from the Championship. There is more money in it for clubs having a game against Everton as opposed to a game against Burnely, Sheff Utd or Boro
I think a points deduction is highly unlikely, I expect, if found guilty, the penalty will be a transfer ban or embargo or a European football ban
Estoppel of various types may or may not cover that. Not to the PL.
Birmingham -9 for a first offence, proportionate?I would agree, for a first offence, when we are getting back under the rules again this year, it would be ludicrous. Who remembers "dont punish the fans" and how hollow this was?
However people are more connected than me think it will be points.
I think that's on the basis that the PL will want to show they can deal with their own transgressors.I would agree, for a first offence, when we are getting back under the rules again this year, it would be ludicrous. Who remembers "dont punish the fans" and how hollow this was?

I am inclined to think that people saying it will be a point deduction are just looking for clicks and to be noticed. I don't think the detail of the charges have been released so it will be very difficult to make any sort of informed opinion. The facts are EFC has been charged, the financials are a mess, we have just been through Covid, the cost of the stadium has gone up 50%, you lost a dodgy investor due to political issues and this is a first offense. These mitigating factors make it sound like a slap on the wrist type penalty to me. And as someone else mentioned, if EFC get a points deduction then Man City will be playing Sunday League football in the near futureI would agree, for a first offence, when we are getting back under the rules again this year, it would be ludicrous. Who remembers "dont punish the fans" and how hollow this was?

Bruh.I agree with your rationale really, but we will see.
I also agree with you that this is not a conspiracy against Everton. To me it's a complicated set of rules, governing an area of company performance that is disputed (across all sectors) at a unique time for businesses, ran by a regulator who is not up to the job. So you get ludicrous outcomes. Its not conspiracy though, its structure flaws alongside culture arrogance/ineptitude.
Yeah but what would the Everton board do?Bruh.
We broke the rules.
Not just 1 year, but for 4, consecutive years.
xD
I feel like we need a flowchart.Yeah but what would the Everton board do?
I'm just annoyed the bung we paid to Burnley for McNeil to get them off our back didn't work and actually put us more in the crap.I feel like we need a flowchart.
Did Everton break the rules.
Yes.
Who was at fault, the Premier League or Everton.
Yes
