No, the conflation is his: the rank governance of Everton and his highlighting of that is being used by him as a proxy for not having a clue what the specifics of the PL referral of Everton are. He doesn't know that information so he fishes about for 'people in the locality' who believe it's down to a player sale not happening. In the absence of that information he should do the right thing in an ongoing inquiry and STFU.

Look through my posting history and you will see I want BK, DBB and FM out as much as you do and I absolutely believe that shining a light on their failures is the right thing to do……just not where the subject matter is a topic where we may get punished by the authorities. I don’t disagree with that….I was just questioning the wisdom of writing an article which was subsequently picked up and reported on the by Mail…..I do not see how it does the club any good, whether it material to the decision or not.

There is an absolutely tonne of stuff to write about without going into that area..,,but really that was an opinion of mine which has grown into an argument by one preaching poster accusing me of advocating censorship when the poster doesn’t even know me.
