Financial Fair Play investigation

Whether MSP turn out to be vultures or wonderful considered investors, there is no way they pump millions into a company that has a risk of any major sanctions within a few months. That would be like investing at half time on the last day of the season. Leeds worth half their original valuation following relegation. There is a reason that didn’t happen in May.

There will be some vaguely sensible people working on the investment from MSPs side and they will have more info than the Guardian. I’d only worry if the investment falls through (and then start to wonder if the recent resignations, particularly of the CFO, were down to this charge rather than fan pressure over the club being run into the ground).

Southampton - finished 11 points adrift of safety, sacked 2 managers over the course of the season

Leeds - finished 5 adrift of safety, sacked two managers over the course of the season and got a 4-1 spanking on the final day, their 7th defeat in the final 9 games

Leicester - sacked a manager, who’s replacement had them play a game in the run in where they didn’t so much as bother attacking until the dying minutes

Burnley - came straight back up first attempt anyway so should have zero say in matters

Christ no wonder our esteemed board are resigning enmasse, getting done by the PL, for ffp, four clubs waiting to suit us , and even Carlo wants to suit us plus it looks like we haven't got a pot to piss in, thanks lads good 'kin luck for the future.

Just read the relegated clubs are coming after us. Surely they can go after City too? Why just pick on us? Nobody is mentioning them (City) anymore.
I know we were the first for most things in football. Not sure I’ll like the idea of the first to have a points deduction from the premier league !

Leicester lost £92.5m in 21/22 and £31m the season before too

There are mitigating factors.
We would argue that covid hit us at in opportune time of our investment period and largely been mitagating our losses since then.
And that other teams list on the sporting decisions above.
These things are largely untried in court though..

Any team finishing below arguably the worst Everton side in living memory for two seasons, doesn’t deserve a thing.

They couldn’t finish above us on the pitch so they will try and beat us in the courts - absolutely laughable, especially when you consider the league we’re nannying us the last few transfer windows and knew our situation.

Does anyone think they would have pursued this if we had got relegated either of the last two seasons?

Also, I don’t understand how city aren’t in their and others firing line?!

The league need to get a move on and pipe these farting little no mark clubs down or charge us - it’s getting beyond a joke,

Some serious reaches in that article. Leeds would’ve gone down anyway but might sue us because they might in an alternative reality have taken more points from us? Never happen.

I’d just tell them that if we didn’t spunk all our money on maupay, Sandro, Morgan, tuson, walcott and co….

We wouldn’t have been down near the bottom.

So spending money actually gave Leeds a chance of catching us in reality.

I've just been listening on the BBC News channel to Kieran Maguire talking about City's PL investigation.

He's just stated...and I quote..."the most severe judgement could be a points deduction...but I see little chance of that".

This same feller was adamant a few months back that we faced a likely points deduction though.

I stated at the time that this feller is a light entertainer and not a serious analyst - which was challenged by 'certain' posters - and that statement tonight about City having little chance of a points deduction underlines it.

What a 'kin fraud that feller is.

People used to give weather reporters stick about being wrong 50% of the time, now we have people comfortably on 6 figures constantly spouting shabite for a living
