Yes but they have the means and influence to fight it. Even a £500m fine means nothing to them. Their owners make that in a week.

They aren't being deducted anything like 30 points do that isn't worth mentioning.

And a transfer ban, given the current size and quality of their squad, also means absolutely nothing to them.

Unless they're relegated to the National League, they've got away with it.

For Everton yes, but City no chance at all. A 10 point penalty likely relegates us, whereas City would need about a 50 point deduction to stand a chance of going down. Not happening.

He’ll be fine, he’ll sell the stadium off to a third party and lease it back to us. This could be the fast track to liquidation we’ve been looking for.

We already have a ground so I assume we could tell them where they can stick their shiny new stadium. Good luck with them trying to get Tranmere to lease it from them.

Something to do with a tax issue on a loan isn’t it? Can’t see how we get deducted points for that but it is us so we will see.

That’s my question too but I thought it was in relation to the financing of the stadium.

Keep hearing its a tax issue , I thought it was over the overspending.

I hope this Saudi League is the beginning of the end of FFP but cant see it.

The elite clubs hold too much sway with UEFA who are scared a more competitive/fair system will see the scabs leave for the super league.

As things stand now (current financial situation), it'd be the death of us if P&S/FFP was removed.

Depends which way the pendulum swung imo.

If it was replaced with more fairer rules then the gap gets shorter between the elite and the plebs.

If it was completely scrapped and turned into a free for all then potentially whilst the stadium is built but at the same time how many uber rich billionaires are currently put off buying into clubs outside the elite because FFP stops them speculating to accumulate ?

Would Abramovich have bought Chelsea in the current FFP era ? Arguably no as he couldn't have spent the money he did to build them into the powerhouse they are now.

Quick question from me (apologies if answered)….if P&S / FFP‘s calculations exclude investment in infrastructure which I would imagine any expenditure on the stadium represents, why are we being referred?
