True this. If there was a formal arrangement the world would have known. It’s probably one of the punishments we could receive now, having them approve all spending for X years. More likely Ingles or whoever finally turned his/her laptop on during early lockdown and realised we were in a hole we weren’t getting out of, so we suddenly decided to “co-operate” and be “open and honest”. Which is in our favour sure, but only likely to reduce a punishment, not suddenly make us legally invincible.

Well in my opinion I believe it is almost a certainty we went to the league because of the allowance to bend the rules during the COVID years. It only makes sense. Doesn't really matter if it's 3 points or 12. Either of these scenarios will see legal battles with those that dropped last season. Or the season before depending on which season we're actually getting punished for.

IIRC we did. Told them we had a problem, explained the mitigating circumstances, PL accepted them, and even told Burnley and Leeds to do one when they started crying. Then the £1.5m allowed for Fatso, the sales before buys, all, apparently approved by the PL.

Then this weird tax/accounts thing about stadium loans chipped up.

But like many have said; who actually knows?
