Financial Fair Play investigation

The rules are also there to stop clubs going under. Where would we be if Moshiri could have spent freely the last 5 years? We could be bust now the money has ran out.

How is putting sanctions on clubs, and forcing them to sell assets under their market value helping prevent teams go under? I would say that puts us in a worse financial situation.

Surely the fact we lost most of our sponsorship due to the war, has to be taken into consideration? I'm not really up on finances but I'd say that's a pretty big mitigating factor. On top of the rules being bullshine in the first place.

Logically, in any other sector or business, a once in 80 years war would be seen as a legitimate factor in business performance.

At the end of the day, We're screwed...
Whoever is looking into it:
Whatever they are exactly looking for:
However they use their findings:
It will all still lead to the same outcome, That we are screwed....

The fact that we as a fanbase have seen this catastrophe building up in front of our eyes for years now, just makes it all that more obvious..
( at least if we were blinded to fact that we've been signing off Blank cheques for annual deliveries of cow manure for years now, without bringing anything back in to the club than we could at least be heading into this with some hope of a good Resolution..

Only Everton could get themselves into a situation like this with a 'Supposed' top Accountant at the Helm 🙄

( Has seemed to have gone a bit quiet on the city front recently tho, maybe we've been drafted in as the makeweight )

The City thing is quiet, as these things take a lot of time.

How much more would Moshiri have spent if losses weren't an issue? We'd have spent 80 million on Zaha and the like and could have been looking at 200 million a year losses and wage bill out of control. All well and good until the money runs out which it did as soon as Putin invaded Ukraine. Good look building a stadium then.

Not sure we want authorities looking into the USM deals right now.

Moshiri is obviously a problem too. But these rules make the problem worse.

Moshiri could have spent that money on Zaha and there would have been no punishment anyway mate, we were lucky our bids weren't accepted.

The rules dont stop reckless spending, and then make it harder to recoup money. As asked previously, do you think receiving less money for players has makes a business stronger or weaker?

How are these rules destroying the PL?

I dont think they are destroying the PL, but they are not adding value are they? And they are making it worse.

Football fans want to see some element of meritocracy. That matches on the pitch dictate performance. Not in a (kangaroo) court. We like the sport, not court dramas.

Where in the rules does it say you cant have write downs? It says the opposite.
But they have to be legitimate and based on fact not fabricated.
It would appear that someone has raised questions over the validity of the league’s original judgment of our case causing it to be referred to an independent body to be reviewed.
In most situations in which judgements are passed down there is recourse to having those adjudications reviewed and tested for veracity.
It’s a normal procedure which helps ensure that those tasked with making the decisions are acting in a fair and honest way and have correctly applied any rules and regulations.
If we have acted honestly and within the rules that we agreed to adhere to we have nothing to fear.
If it is found that we breached the rules and the league was unduly lenient in dealing with us we will be punished.
No conspiracy’s, no vendettas, just normal procedure.

Rules are rules and we have signed up to them.
We’re going to have to take any punishment on the chin , we’ve broken the rules we agreed to as a member of this club. Frankly I think it’s all a bit mad teams agree to keep those at the top there but it was done so we can have absolutely no argument that we face punishment.

I’d hope we can mitigate to the best of our abilities but no point in complaining as it appears , at least , we’ve messed up big time .
