It would allow things to come to light

Things that would enable Moshiri to act

We’re still all waiting on these “things to come to light”, is this your version of Bill’s “watch this space”? Still acting as if any minute now Moshiri is just gonna blindside us all with a clean sweep of the board. He isn’t. He is happy with the job they’re doing.

I think the fact we haven't got that feller to call on here makes matters a bit worse for us. Like it or not he's a figure in the game that others think is a cuddly luvvie and he can schmooze behind the scenes.
Is there some rule stating that he's not allowed to go before the committee?

He can give them Marlon Brando from 'On the Waterfront':

'You don't understand! I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender, I could've been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am.'
Move them to tears our beloved chairman will!

Not sure stating that we were really owned by Usmanov all along and Moshiri is his bag man, is the defence to go down, in the current climate.
It's also been something Moshiri has been desperate to hide since he bought the club, because of the added complications surrounding Usmanov's Arsenal shareholding at the time.

Bill Kenwright wouldn't be called before the independent commission unless its as a witness to give evidence

Everton will be represented by a solicitor

I get the impression the Everton lawyers would be very keen to keep Kenwright well away. Given his proclivities for grand standing

I remember I used to get all sorts of stick on here for realising Moshiri was a con man and would destroy this club.

Just read the esk's view on this latest s**tshow. He reckons funding (which we have struggled to get anyway) will now be impossible until this concludes. Baring in mind the investigation will take beards anyway then there will be inevitable appeals etc we will basically be totally reliant on that toad Moshiri for funding the entire stadium to continue work happening. Part of me would rather it ground to a halt and it gets completed at a later date by someone who isn't a cancer eating away at this club.

Personally I feel at the end of my tether with it all now. Enjoyment disappeared long ago from this hobby.

Yeah, knowing Billy boy, he'll probably hire a whole ensemble to give them some altered bastardized version of 'The Pirates of Penzance' to make some point that ultimately no one will get... 😂

I know. The whole proceedings could turn into a farce

There's likely going to be King's Counsel lawyers involved in all this.

Imagine how they are going to pick apart what he says 🤷‍♂️

They'll eat him alive if he's anywhere near to giving verbal evidence

Just listen to him:

The commission will know that we had to ditch commercial deals from USM and that has contributed to our situation.

In fact, I think geo-politics (UKR-RUS) and national politics (Govn't Regulation of the sport) is going to be our biggest danger in this case.

We're on safe ground given the PL are implicated in our spending, but that politics could see us made an example of.

Christ, they'll back him into a corner and he'll go to his default setting which is to start sobbing uncontrollably like when we sold Rooney to the Manure and he was on the phone to Ferguson wailing like a little baby... 'You're stealing our boy!'

He'll whip out his hankey. To wipe a tear away on the stand. As he tells them all about the days (he claims) he used to go into the boys pen and that it's the people's club and all that

He then blows his nose as the lawyer reminds him he asked about the club's sponsorships during 2021...

Maybe. That's why I said behind the scenes.

Like it or not, BK is in thick with the other PL chairmen and the PL itself.

How independent is the commission though? The Premier League are up to their necks in it along with the club so could the commission be briefed to go easy on Everton to protect the PL, or will it be 'make your decision independently and leave us out of it'?
