Financial Fair Play investigation

😄 I know. Some of the things I'm reading on here from the likes of Dave are extraordinary
It's not Everton's fault that the geo-politics changed over the course of a few years.

Btw, YOU welcomed Moshiri with open arms...Uzmanov link or not.

There needs to be accountability at/within Everton Football Club

With the people that put the club into this situation. For rules the club signed up to.

People need to stop the Kopite behaviour blaming everyone else and deflecting. Saying it's all unfair etc etc

Responsibility lies with Bill Kenwright and Denise Barrett Baxendale

That's a fact. Go have a listen

Started listening to BK there, absolutely deluded and clearly his senses have been declining for many years, he needs to walk away now. HE is one of the causes!

Is it seriously still 90%?! It must’ve been ludicrous when we had Allan, James, Bernard, Gylfi and Digne on the books. All were among our top earners and I highly doubt any of the lads we’ve brought in are on anything near those fees.

Do we know what Alli’s wages are? And how much of the “£40m” transfer fee actually shows on the books? I understand it’s all in add-ons, but surely we can’t just claim that as a free transfer? No way Levy would let us get away with that. They’ll have posted that as a £40m outgoing on their books.

3 points: either;

1) We told porkies.
2) They moved the goalposts.
Or...a bit of both
3) Voltaire: "Pour encourager les autres" : in order to encourage the others - said ironically of an action (such as an execution) carried out as a warning to others

Interesting to look at next years cycle, we loose a loss of £111 mill:

Year 1) Loss: £48.25mill

Year 2) Loss: £50 mill (projected by the Esk)

Year 3) Loss: Likely profit.

Be getting close to ground zero.
Funny you say next year as year 3, that is up to and including June this year, 3 months time but we wont hear about it for another year..... Such is the incompetence of this board!

Dave would you call Bill Kenwright to give verbal evidence in our defence during the independent commission?

How independent is the commission though? The Premier League are up to their necks in it along with the club so could the commission be briefed to go easy on Everton to protect the PL, or will it be 'make your decision independently and leave us out of it'?
That's right: the 'independent' panel will likely have 4 of the PL's own judiciary panel on it.

They can either ease this one away with a big fine recommendation to the chair, or they can use Everton knowing they'll be on safe political ground as a means of laying down a marker with City to come.

We'll be punished, of that there is no question. Only the severity of it is to be determined.

But this commission is not our immediate enemy - morale deflation as a result of the referral is our enemy because that can sink us this season.

The bottom line on this for me is: get safe...then worry abut this later.

Maybe. That's why I said behind the scenes.

Like it or not, BK is in thick with the other PL chairmen and the PL itself.
That I agree on you with.

Schmoozing is a talent that only world class bullsh.t artists possess.

And it takes a personality with specific traits that most normal, well-adjusted humans don't contain.

For sure Billy boy has a PhD in BS!

No it won't Dave. Read the Premier League's rulebook

Pretty much my take mate, good post.

We need to move away from being depending on Moshiri, as i said last night - the board aren't component but they are appointees of the owner and he is the catalyst of our loss making - everyone's afraid to say boo to him, so a lot is just weeing in the wind and collusion by focusing on the board solely.

Making the business' self sustainable has to be the goal by broadening the base on revenue in achieving that, BMD is the key to that - it has been for Arsenal and Spurs - that has to be our model, the owner should be incidental and one looks after the other. BMD has to be the excelarator for change.
Yes, but without Moshiri there is no BMD. He's funded the lot with no other funding model available. He also cleared/capitalised all of our previous debts from years of ineptitude, when the club's relative stock was in a managed decline, papered over only by Moyes building teams from nothing, having to sell to buy. We were overtaken in terms of infrastructure and income by all of our peers and several more besides. The same chairman found a mug who was prepared to part with his cash (and his mate) and who fancied playing absent landlord(s). Bk promptly blew his warchest too, and we've still not recovered. This is just all of that coming home to roost.

He could undermine the whole proceedings and then could lead the club to be in even more trouble

The independent commission could take it very negatively trying to prejudice the proceedings
Chairmen talk to each other. That's the reality of it.

The independent chair can appoint his panel and has the option to appoint them from the 15 strong PL judicial panel.
You're wrong Dave
