I think we should tell them we are very very sorry and we won't do it again.

Look, I don't know enough about it, that's why I'm asking but to me seems a big mitigating factor.
Someone needs to challenge these rules that are destroying the PL.
We’re going to have to take any punishment on the chin , we’ve broken the rules we agreed to as a member of this club. Frankly I think it’s all a bit mad teams agree to keep those at the top there but it was done so we can have absolutely no argument that we face punishment.
I’d hope we can mitigate to the best of our abilities but no point in complaining as it appears , at least , we’ve messed up big time .
I read the esks article yesterday and he reckons the sponsorship from USM for the season the accounts to be released all due sponsorship payments were made fully . It’s the next set of Accounts that may show a reduction next year .Surely the fact we lost most of our sponsorship due to the war, has to be taken into consideration? I'm not really up on finances but I'd say that's a pretty big mitigating factor. On top of the rules being bullshine in the first place.
There needs to be accountability at/within Everton Football Club
With the people that put the club into this situation. For rules the club signed up to.
People need to stop the Kopite behaviour blaming everyone else and deflecting. Saying it's all unfair etc etc
Responsibility lies with Bill Kenwright and Denise Barrett Baxendale
That's a fact. Go have a listen
Interesting to look at next years cycle, we loose a loss of £111 mill:
Year 1) Loss: £48.25mill
Year 2) Loss: £50 mill (projected by the Esk)
Year 3) Loss: Likely profit.
Be getting close to ground zero.
lol lol lolBut it wasn’t a threat to the premier league, the attempted ESL was a threat to European competition, mainly the Champions League.
Outside of the ESL founding clubs there was only going to be 5 other places available via a qualifying competition with the founding clubs always involved regardless of where they finished in their respective leagues the previous season.
It was grossly unfair and the European Leagues quite rightly sided with UEFA because it removed the spirit of competition for teams finishing fairly in European qualifying places.
The teams in England were not intending to leave the premier league only the current Champions League.
If anything it went against the spirit of competition, in the same way as breaking the financial rules of the Premier League could be viewed (whatever our own personal views on this matter may be)
In short, the punishment dealt out to the ESL clubs has no bearing on what is currently happening to us….
And that's thanks to the rules. Imagine what our finances would be like now without the pressure to get the losses down? There's good and bad points with them but they're designed to keep clubs solvent which is why a majority signed up for them. Clubs running losses of £100m+ every year is not sustainable. We'll be a profitable football club at BMD or can run at a slight loss within the rules.
Take the likely fine and move forward.

Is it seriously still 90%?! It must’ve been ludicrous when we had Allan, James, Bernard, Gylfi and Digne on the books. All were among our top earners and I highly doubt any of the lads we’ve brought in are on anything near those fees.

Maybe we can get that fat mess Kenwright to actually be useful for once.I think we should tell them we are very very sorry and we won't do it again.
I think the fact we haven't got that feller to call on here makes matters a bit worse for us. Like it or not he's a figure in the game that others think is a cuddly luvvie and he can schmooze behind the scenes.Maybe we can get that fat mess Kenwright to actually be useful for once.
Let him go before the committee and put on one of his Oscar award winning sob story performances. Maybe they're gullible enough to fall for it.
We've got nothing to loose!
If it was someone other than the esks personal ball fondler they might, like kenwright it doesn't matter what you say as your image is set in stone on here, and your history of pontificating on subjects you haven't a clue on will speak to people before the context of your current content.
All the best
