Problem for England is Foden Bellingham Kane and Saka all want to play in the same position. Palmer and Eze want to be there too. Should have been brave enough to bench a big name and if you’re building around Kane put him at false 9 with two quick wingers and a striker ahead of him. We just had no one running behind

It makes absolutely no sense to build a team around Kane at this stage of his career.

To get the best out of Kane, you would need to play wide forwards like Rashford or Gordon or Eze etc, and they just aren't as good as Foden and Saka.

England should be looking to move on from Kane now at this stage. His performances in this tournament were as poor as I can remember from an England centre forward at a tournament.

Being very very genuine here England struggled to figure out how to mark the Spanish midfield for the first 15 or so minutes of the second half because Zubimendi moved his feet and replaced the guy they could easily mark out of the game because he just stands still.

Shame they conceded straight after half time when they just didn’t switch on. If we’d got ahead in that game it might have been different.

Some English players like Rice Kane Bellingham just aren’t good enough technically on the ball, they have it away so much and just looking for easy passes. It makes the difference at the top level.

Exactly that. Son at Spurs was also a superb foil for him.

Having said that, he's not played well and looked half fit to me. Combined, ineffectual.

England had Spain on the back foot when they were chasing the equaliser and guess what? They scored. Then in typical fashion we just say back playing for pens. I wouldn’t say it was extremely successful at all rather extremely lucky.

The football was crap.
