Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson steps into management.....

Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson couldn't believe what he was reading. There had never been any arrest. His actions had clearly aroused the malevolent force that was enveloping AFC Fylde and was clearly using the media to destroy his legacy. His training of the beasts had been going well, as shown by his sides 94th minute wonder goal. Even the misspelling of his name in the report was a subtle mockery.

On returning to the cupboard which doubled as his office, a note sat on his desk. With hesitation he read it. 'ROOM 1892 FYLDE TRAVEL TAVERN TONIGHT 8PM'

Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson knew he could be walking into a trap. One wrong move and all of his work could go wrong. Tentatively, he travelled to the Travel Tavern, swallowing down his fear. As he found room 1892, he kicked down the door, eager to show that he, Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson, was in control of the situation. As he kicked down the door, he saw it. Spherical, One Eyed and Red.

It was Mark Lawernson.

'HA HA HA Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson' laughed the one eyed Kopite beast. 'An ex Everton Player Trying To Be A Manager? Do you know what you are even dealing with? Impressive win over Chesterfield? No-one will believe it now with that murder charge hanging over your head.

'I WILL KILL YOU AND LET THE WORLD KNOW OF THIS VILE KOPITE SCHEME' Yelled Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson as he readied his trusty shotgun.

'AND WHO WOULD BELIEVE YOU? WE RUN THE SPORTS MEDIA, WE EVEN HAVE PEOPLE THINKING SLIPPY IS A GOOD MANAGER, EVEN THOUGH HES STRUGGLING IN A GLORIFIED PUB LEAGUE. PLUS IT'S NOT JUST ME.'

Lawernson laughed as the bathroom opened and more of the vile creatures poured out. Jim Beglin, Danny Murphy, Phil Thompson.. too many of the horrors to mention. Knowing there was no way he could face them alone Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson beat a retreat and ran from the travel tavern.

His mind spun with questions, how had this happened? How had the world been so blind? But more imporetantly was the one eyed kopite media driving the events at AFC Fylde, or was there another more sinister force at play?
All I can think of reading that is the "Adventures of Sir Digby Chicken Caesar" sketch from That Mitchell and Webb Look. But with Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson in it.

Fylde march on!

It was 3 points in the bag for Fylde as their dominance over Maidstone shone through with a 3-0 win.
BBC Sport caught up with manager Duncan Ferguson after the game.
Reporter: Another win, that makes it 7 points from 9. Can you keep it going?
DF: The performance was good but I still see things that require improvement. It took us a while to get going but I was happy with how the team played and they looked comfortable in possession. The passing was good and I instructed my full backs to get forward more with the ball which opened up our attacking football.
Reporter: Andy Bond has a great game in midfield..
DF: He played well and scored from the spot twice, I'm happy with the team's performance as a whole and I hope to keep it going.
