I picked up on this too, on the radio City's result was described as a sensational win, ours was 'routine'.

Obviously it is ridiculously early to give any sort of assessment on the new manager.

However the only thing that I will say at this stage is that if I were in the shoes of a player and I had 2 managers - 1 saying " get behind the ball keep it tight and try to nick a goal on the break or through a set piece " and another saying " I want you to play on the front foot , win back possession quickly and play attacking football " - I know which one I'd rather play under.

Of course there has to be organisation and discipline but if your mindset is to attack rather than defend it must be so much more invigorating , interesting and fun to play.

I don't think anyone is saying he is the second coming. But the buzz around the place makes a huge difference. And that didn't happen with the last manager.

You say they are a poor side, yet they beat us last time we played them wheres we comfortably put the game to bed yesterday with a performance that I'm not sure we ever got under the previous manager.

I don’t disagree with anything you say about yesterday, but I’m already seeing posters saying ‘he gets us’ etc. too soon for all that is all i’m saying. We all need to be happy with a good win, but we also need a more balanced opinion of what happened. if we win our next few i am happy to climb on board the ‘everything is sorted’ train!

In reality, ours is the sensational win whereas theirs is routine. But words like sensational, only got thrown about for the glamorous team.

Ours isn't sensational really. It would have been sensational to see that result under the previous manager. But under Frank, every game he has had for us has been like that

If I was a player today I would be up at 5am like its Xmas morning full kit on shinnies the lot for breakfast
Chomping at the bit to get in and be around Frank he is that infectious and loves the game compared to the dross they have had to endure who were here only for a payday managing them

I dont want to get ahead of myself, but the team looked coached, and thats the first time in a while that they’ve looked like that.

Fronk had the same players as Benitez, but yesterday was so far away from what we’ve seen this Season its mad, i dont think it is a new manager bounce either, i think its more than that.

He’s surrounded himself with top, top coaches & he himself will only get better as a manager as time goes on. I know its only one game but im starting to finally get excited about supporting Everton again.

I'm starting to really like him y'know, he's got a really nice blend of confidence, humility and know-how and an almost old school love of the game. Early days innit, but he just seems like a good fit for us.

I just love seeing a manager celebrating when his team scores. Franks young, hungry and has all the tools to both make Everton a force again and to also show he is a top manager. I hope it finally clicks in place.

Was thinking about taking a break and giving the next one or two home games a miss before Lampard turned up. Absolutely no chance now.

He's just so refreshingly open and honest he knows what everton is and what it should be about

I do believe yesterday he was touched by everton and we all know what that means for frank

Common denominator is the staff they have with them 7 days a week.

Drain the swamp.

Ferguson, Ebbrell, Unsworth, Baines, Kelly etc should have been punted this time around.

They create a miasma of amateurism and cronyism that seeps into every pore.

Most of them are with the reserves though, and will be nowhere near the squad.

I think it's in the boardroom where the issues lie.

Pleasantly surprised how quickly he got us playing a possession based game of football tbh. He's done well in a short space of time, let's hope it continues.

How nice is it to see a raring to go Manager coaching players properly, having a proper game plan, using subs properly, celebrating after every goal including at the final whistle and feeling the emotions of a full house Goodison with pretty much everyone behind him.

Could not ask for a better start than this. Cannot get ahead of ourselves as our league position is perilous but if we can build up a bit of form and get to safety, i predict good things to come in the future for Super Frank's Toffee's.

Think we might finally have found the right man, fingers crossed.
