I just don't understand how he can see the job as a long-term or even medium-term position if his wife is refusing to move up north with their children.

Isn’t this the problem? ‘Thanks for keeping us up Frank but if you’ve not turned around 5 years of dross by January then here’s some abuse’

The only thing with the Tory Frank thing, is it seems to stem back to an interview over 15 years ago. The Tory party, under David Cameron in his "hug a hoodie" phase was a vastly different one to this incarnation. Indeed, it's probably more to the left of Starmers Labour. If they are his ideological beliefs, it's likely he would vote for Starmer now.

Who honestly cares mate, there's literally zero difference these days between the two parties

Hasn't been since Blair basically changed the labor party into the conservative party for the 'working class'

I don't know if people realise this, but millions of voters aren't diehard followers of a single party. I know people who vote for one party in General Elections, maybe another party in the Welsh Senedd elections, and for the person rather than the party in local elections. Then of course there are people who vote for different parties in successive general elections as the political situation changes.

And end of the day they pretty much get the same no matter how they vote

Mourinho spent 3 years at Man U living in a hotel

benitez would drive to newcastle from liverpool everyday - apparently

These football managers are often obsessives

He’s already been at Chelsea, and I can’t see him going to one of their London rivals any time soon, given he’s a massive part of Chelsea’s history.

And indeed if he did even so much as get approached by one of the big London clubs, he’d have had to have done a substantial job with us in the meantime.

So my question would be, who exactly do you think he would have his sights set on?

I used to work with a guy who lived in Scotland with his family but drove to Northampton every week and stayed in a hotel Monday to Thursday for work. For over ten years.

It’s not that far fetched or even unusual for football managers.

I don't care, as it's not a PPB and honestly nobody has seen his ballot.

But from the point of clarity and accuracy, saying you might vote for someone 15 years ago, who stood for very different things, doesn't mean you still vote for them. It sounds a rather simple thing to say, but you'd be amazed how many people can't grasp that concept.

Like I'm a died in the wool Labour voter, but at the last locals I voted green as they are a better representation of my views. Does that now make me a green forever? I wouldn't say so.

For a 'normal' family, I understand that viewing lens. But in the rarified air of top football playing/management, the focal lengths for families involved are different....they just are. A helicopter trip or two (or three or four) times a week is totally accessible. England is a small country (area wise).

She has a job based their. Why should she move?

However I understand your point, but given that football managers have a short job life expectancy, and Everton average two or three a season, I wouldn’t uproot my family for it either.

We have just escaped relegation by the skin of a nats chuff and are thinking about giving JJK a new contract, meanwhile Kenwright, Moshiri and DB have said absolutely nothing about what has just gone on, yet some fans on here are more concerned with whether Frank is a Tory or not, laughable to say the least.

Is it me? But at present I see this once great club just scraping by with absolute zero chance of winning anything again in my life time, this is what my concern is not politics
