And much as we enjoyed Brentford and Leeds, we've had 3 total Jekyll & Hyde games, our next away game needs to dampen down the occilations a tad...if only to concentrate the minds for City.
Borehamwood is somewhat of a free hit while - at the same time (this is Le Ev remember) also being a potential banana skin to dodge...Other teams will have results too so I'm not looking any further forward than that.
 

I like the way he has included the whole squad so far off the bench. Rondon, el ghazi getting game time despite looking out of their depth earlier. Same for iwobe.
Everyone knows they have a chance to rebuild their career now and everyone looks up for it.
The Newcastle game Was a loss but Newcastle were flying, the atmosphere was something else. It was the the kind of night where Newcastle could have beat a top four side.
We have had false dawns before but I finally feel that we have a manager that knows this the club that he can build his reputation and is here for a long time. Every other manager I felt was treating us as a short term stepping stone, or was not up to scratch.

I think Silva was happy to be here but he just doesn't have the same type of energetic personality. But I feel managers need that. You can't get maximum effort out of your players if you're not bringing a lot of energy yourself.

His tactics are woefully outdated. Teams now look to press high up the pitch. Lampard's answer is to knock it around at the back to give them as much opportunity to win the ball as possible.

Before and after Lampard's tenure Jorginho was the most influential player in Chelsea's team. Week in week out, Jorginho was getting the most touches and was starting attacks. Lampard dropped him and looked to knock it around at the back with Thiago Silva then becoming the dominant player in possesion.

Lampard gets sacked and Jorginho is on the shortlist for the Ballon D'or. Lampard got the Derby job because his uncle Harry was a consultant at Derby. He then gets the Chelsea job after finishing 6th with Derby because rightly so he is a playing legend at Chelsea.

Lampard has done nothing as a manager to even show he is good enough for a job in the Championship, never mind managing a giant like Everton. Far from being a serial winner as a manager, he has won nothing. Benitez was a terrible appointment but Lampard has the potential to be far worse.

I'd still worry that if an opportunity came along he'd jump ship pretty swiftly. No loyalty these days.

You have just hit the nail on the head mate.
Watching your team play should be fun.
Yes , OK of course there are games where you have to dig in and play ugly but generally speaking surely you want to see your team play exciting football and trying to win.

The football in the 2nd half of last season and this was mind blowing turgid and absolutely no fun to watch.

Prior to that we haven't played any type of attractive football since Martinez and the imbalance of attack and defence under him was enough to make you pull your hair out.
So my hope is that you are absolutely right and that under Frank we see exciting attacking football and eve though there will be lows that we win more than we lose.
