2021/22 Frank Lampard

Benitez put us in a relegation battle so that first task you say Lampard has to make sure of is nil and void.
It is a question of definition. We were 6 points ahead of Norwich, 7 points ahead of Newcastle and 8 points ahead of Burnley. We were 6 points behind Leicester in tenth place. We are now 12 points behind Leicester, 6 points behind Newcastle, 1 point ahead of Burnley, and 7 points ahead of Norwich. We had a downward curve, no doubt, but we were still quite comfortable. Lampard has given us no positive effect.

Frank, we just need to cut the individual mistakes out, we’d have been 4 points better off without them
Sam would park the bus for 6 games and this group can’t see out 10mins of pressure never mind 90. And then we probably need to win the last 3 games and Sam would have to rip up his whole philosophy and now tell
The players to attack.

Frank will at least have us going for wins which is what we need.

Superb Claus, you've got the job as you seem to know a way to play that suits the players best.

If you could email Frank please do let him know before Saturday as he's getting sacked if we don't win.
You'll have to point me to where I said that but fair enough.

Lampard is a professional football manager and after nearly 10 weeks in charge he should have a grasp of the basics of what he can and cannot do with these players. But he seems wedded to a playing style that failed miserably with Chelsea's squad. Pointing that out isn't the same as saying I could fix it.

There are managers out there that have some tactical nous and under whom we would have a better chance than we do now. The run in we have is horrendous and it's by no means even likely, let alone certain, that a good manager will be able to save us, but Frank simply doesn't have the experience or the mindset to do it. Look at the formations, the defending, the game management. I know we make too many individual mistakes, and the manager can't be blamed directly for those, but his management isn't helping. It's the same things that got him sacked at Chelsea.

The question is probably not whether another manager could save us, but who would be mad enough to take on the job at this point.
There is no shortage of managers. 80% of them last less than two years in a job. Frank was out of work for a year before getting the Everton gig. In order to get a new job, it seems more important to have been in fairly recent employment rather than how well you have done. Even moderate ‘success’ at a mediocre club seems to make some managers ‘the next big thing’ - temporarily. Win something and you are almost guaranteed a couple of future roles as clubs take a chance on ‘a proven winner’. The system is broken because it has become a money racket

I don’t buy that at all mate. It’s like Allardyce has some unique style of play that no other professional manager could ever hope to replicate.
There isn't a manager alive who could get anymore out of this group of players.
We need to go down ( if it has to be ) with a little bit of dignity. We need to man up and take our medicine. Lampard is our manager sacking him now just makes us more of a laughing stock.

Your scenario seems to ignore the fortunes of others.

Lampards future should not be up for debate, when we had Moyes we had him for 11 years, since Mosheri has come in who has been an absolute disaster for this club has now got some fans wanting a change in manager every month.
Meanwhile while Kenny Keane etc who have been here for god knows how long keep playing week n week out because we don’t have anyone else to play there.

Lampard should be here for the long haul, so he can decide if he wants to keep these clowns which I am 1000% certain he doesn’t
