2021/22 Frank Lampard

If, and it's a big if, the club decide that they want to, and can afford to, sack Lampard, they would, in all probability, give it to Ferguson till the end of the season. Rallying calls to the crowd, running up and down the touchline hugging ball boys. I can just see Billy Liar now, a rear in his eye "what a manager". We still go down, it costs us millions in compo to Lampard and his staff, and we are left trying to attract a manager to begin the rebuild.
Apparently I read there’s a clause in Franks contract we can part ways in the summer, not sure how true that is, so paying his wages until then wouldn’t cost that much.

Personally think if we are going to cut Frank loose I would go for Allardyce until the end of the season then, provided Frank doesn’t want to come back in the summer, throw the gauntlet at Graham Potter or David Moyes to come to us.

Nuno is another candidate who will be in with a shout given his links to our new DOF.

Thing about the Lampard appointment we could go down and then get relegated again with him to league 1. We couldn't be shocked. Like he is in the job cause he got high spending derby to 6th 3 years ago.

He has been tasked with our relegation battle cause he is Frank Lampard. Like we tasked a footballer trying to make it as a manager with our relegation battle.

Lampard seemed the most popular choice. If we get relegated we just have to accepted it and say fair enough.

He was the most popular choice because nobody wanted the job and the alternatives were worse

What alternatives. The ones the media kept pumping out? I'd imagine we could attract one person on the planet that has experience of pulling a club out of trouble. Ya know.. an infinitely better choice than lampard. Factoring the situation we were in.

Why would people want another manager sacked? Who is going to come in and do any better with these players?

We have lost games so much on individual shocking errors and performances. Also the absolute dross finishing from Richarlison all season, if he had a goalscorers instrinct to slot home, we wouldn't even be in these discussions. Same for DCL but hes hardly played.

Sticking with Lampard, regardless of this season, these players are not good enough for the premier league.

I am actually suprised he wanted it, little in it for him, his name in football gave him higher stock, its runined now as few clubs will touch him after this mess he has joined, he must regret it
