2021/22 Frank Lampard

Apparently I read there’s a clause in Franks contract we can part ways in the summer, not sure how true that is, so paying his wages until then wouldn’t cost that much.
We'll see, I don't believe too much of the stuff I hear in the press. I dont think it will matter anyway, if we pay him off we won't have the money to do anything but put Ferguson in for the rest of the season. I dont see that as an improvement

FOUR FOUR FUDGING TWO! ?

He's been 'backed' by Rio & Joe Cole to keep us up, although the cynic in me thinks that they're just being nice to their mate really.
I'm sure his wife, his uncle and his next door neighbour probably back him too. Talking heads in the media mean nothing, especially non-objective ones. (That said, I much prefer listening to Joe Cole than Rio "soundbites for attention" Ferdinand).

He says the right things, it needs to translate to the players and they need to do it/show it on the pitch, ultimately a likeable bloke lets just hope his mentality can bring it out on the pitch. Likeable doesnt necessarily win you games tho, needs to start winning
Presently he is being let down by the players and stupid errors.

He'd absolutely hold us to ransom contract-wise too after the fuss he made when we got rid of him last time. It wouldn't be an easy contract till the end of season. It would be min till the end of the following season with a massive payoff for getting rid earlier.
And with the club already ripped apart by the FSW imagine what the appointment of him would do.

Frank still has my backing as individual mistakes he can do nothing about.

He's talking about the mistakes in defence.
There's also the backing up from the rest of the team when the mistakes happen (like with Kenny) and then there's the clueless play (like Iwobi against West Ham when he rushes to press leaving a 2v2 which WH should've scored from)

But there's also the forwards, Defence backs up mistakes, forwards back up good play by scoring.
They need to start scoring.
While the service has been good in parts, can anyone put in a decent cross for DCL?

Maybe Gordon could be tried as a full back.

Personally think if we are going to cut Frank loose I would go for Allardyce until the end of the season then, provided Frank doesn’t want to come back in the summer, throw the gauntlet at Graham Potter or David Moyes to come to us.

Nuno is another candidate who will be in with a shout given his links to our new DOF.
So, sack Lampard now, then offer him the job again in the summer if it suits us and he wants to come back like nothing happened, to work under an owner that might sack him a second time a few months later?!?...

No way is Sam even taking Moshiri's call -other than to laugh down the phone at him from a sun lounger on a Dubai beach- with the way he was treated previously. Potter has said a number of times he has no interest in us and has higher aspirations (he's no fool, he knows Brighton will give him plenty of time and backing whereas he could easily be out of his backside after a few months here).

Can't see Moyes swapping "best of the rest West Ham" who could be Europa regulars for the forseeable and perhaps even nick a UCL place from time to time for a trip down memory lane... whatever division we are in. And as for Nuno, despite the links to the DOF, going off his Spurs days, he just looks flat out uniterested. Was a disaster/wrong choice from day 1, and I suspect it would be the exact same here. Could easily be the fastest sacking in Moshiri history.
