I am no fan of Lampard - no record, don't rate him - but if he cannot have his team up for what is, essentially, the last-chance saloon match tomorrow from minute 1, then he should be summarily sacked. There is simply no excuse for the team and crowd tomorrow not to be in a frenzy.

I think this is flawed completely. If anyone is up for this game it's Frank Lampard. If the players can't get themselves up for it, that's the issue and has been the issue for many seasons now.

The issue was that he wasted the first half of his time here tinkering. Only now has he found the right formation and tactics for this group of players. It's too late as key games were wasted against Southampton, Newcastle, wolves and spurs. I think Rafael would have played the way Frank has since the west ham game which has had us performing considerably better and it would likely have kept us up on the balance of things.
But from now I don't see any point sacking him, it was just the wrong man at the wrong time, but I don't think he's wrong man if we do go down. In fact I think we just need to let him get on with it and hope he gets us straight back.
He still has a chance this season but its going to take the players to change drastically and become significantly better. If Leeds lose to City I think 3 wins for us could be enough but I fear it will more likely be 4 needed and its very difficult to see this group getting that.
