And the fact that Martinez was considered and even angled for with the Belgian FA clearly shows Kenwright had influence over the situation. Moshiri wouldn’t have picked him of his own accord.

I didn’t want Benitez as manager but I gave him my full support.

I didn’t want to see Everton keep sacking managers and wanted Everton doing well so wished Benitez all the success in the world.

The results got him sacked nothing else any manger with them results would have gone. We probably held on to him longer than we should.

It’s not about him anymore now tho. It’s about Everton and Frank. If we survive this season. I think everyone would be more than happy with a Mid table finish next season as Frank builds his own squad.

We will never know one way or the other. Although considering Pereira has been a candidate multiple times when the job has come up, including before Moshiri was involved with the club, I certainly wouldn't rule out Bill wanting Pereira.

Imagine if we’d ended up with Bobby brown shoes, we’d be down already. There’s no way he would’ve swapped to this pragmatic style, nor would he have united the fans and players like Frank has managed. Lampard I think will be a decent manager, but it took him about 8 games to see that you cant set up in an open way with this lot.

Howe at newcastle had 1 win in his first 9. They then became one of the form teams in the league, winning like 10 of their last 16.

It takes time to adapt and start getting results and figure things out. Lampard showing similar.

Kenwright had absolutely no say in appointing Lampard, Moshiri reacted to the fan meltdown over Pereira.

So then why are people sulking and moaning about Kenwright recently in response to the current mess if as you say he has "no say" now?

Even if he did want Martinez, so what, we didnt get him, Moshiri went for Rafael, some people were also moaning pre season because they thought he wanted Moyes.

Are you telling me that Moshiri actually listens to Kenwright or values his opinion at all? How have you worked that one out? The man appointed Rafael Benitez for crying out loud. Not once in the 6 years Moshiri has been here do I think Kenwright has been allowed to have any input on a managerial appointment. Your proof of “well Kenwright is the chairman” is not sufficient I’m afraid.
