I think we can. I'd say we have a better chance than not of staying up, but it's still too close for comfort. Burnley stringing 3 wins together has shocked me. Had they not done that we would have been safe by now

we just have to keep winning now to we’re we get out and then enough to stay up

still hard tho no game is easy we got to give it are all

Leicester is massive now, ( not as if it wasn't already before ) but this really is a must win game.
After yesterday, and I mean everything about the day. From the fireworks outside the hotel to the carrying of the dog and that wonderful greeting of the players coach. And of course the result!!
the belief that would of been instilled in the players/club/fans we can't afford to let anything wobble that now...

I think he needs to show some real progress the next 5 games to secure his job going forward. Whether we stay up or not there isn't any point to keeping him around if all he's got is trying to scrape points. We're making no progress in producing a style of play and while I get the circumstances are tough I don't think we need to wait another year just to find out he doesn't actually have it.

So you want him to survive relegation, in style?

Christ.

I'm just not inclined to keep him because we survived playing total crap.

Remember he came in during the January window and got to at least give input on a couple of signings. Had he done a good job developing the side then we'd not be here now. I think it's fair to look at this as a 6 month try out and say no thanks.

Its a fair point, im not overly impressed, hes had enough games to make these last 5 games flip flop ville.

BUT and before the Rafatollahs start, we have had ongoing injuries all season, sure some of the players have turned a corner and are hitting something you could call form and some are putting in the performances.

I will get this out the way, im sick to death of sacking managers, not suggesting for 1 second they havent all deserved it, but nar, sick of it.

So for me im willing to get behind somebody who has mildly impressed me, how has he impressed me you might ask, I dunno, I just like him, he carries himself well. Does that help us win football matches? God no.

So for me, if he can keep us up, im willing to go full Men in Black, give him a window, give him a preseason and take it from there. This club is in freefall, players that 7 or 8 managers have bought, overpriced, overpaid in some cases. So lets say we sack Lamaprd, we then look for a youngish manager, with potential, ideally with some experience in giving youth a chance, knows the league, I dunno, somebody like Frank Lampard?

No, hes not the only Manager in world football, but, im sick to death of sacking managers.

That doesnt mean we keep a bad 1, but it does mean im very willing to know for certain if the current 1 isnt for us and despite all the bad I could list, 6months isnt enough time and again, before the Rafatollahs start, 6minutes was too much for the fat kopite.

I agree with that mostly, I think the other way you can go though is basically call Lampard a modern day Allardyce who did his job and move on to someone who has shown a little bit more.

And no I don't really have a name. I feel pretty confident that somewhere in the general realm of high level European football someone exists who is attainable, capable and willing to work on a long term project.

I'd just take a look around is all, if you don't see something you like then maybe Frank figures out some things instead. I don't see a need to commit to him is all.

Hes grinding out results, the players are putting it in.

Theres a lot to like and things to work on.

But sure we could roll the dice, I would rather we didnt tho.

Einstein's definition of insanity - keep trying something that doesn't work

I don't think Leicester is must win but you'd say we must get at least 3 points from these 2 away games. Hopefully 4, 6 would be in dreamland, that would mean trebling the amount of away wins that we have now. I just can't see it.

The team is behind him and he's getting all of the intangible things out of them. The tangible isn't really happening.

Giving a bad manager extra time isn't going to fix it.

Is it proven hes a bad manager?

Beating this current United side isnt an achievement and Chelsea are in bad form, but are they not good results? I get it you want pretty football, not many managers play pretty football from day 1. Look at Arteta.

But again, can you say for sure hes not the manager for us? When that time comes, then SACK, but for me that question is unanswered.
