I don't know what the board are waiting for. They probably don't want to sack him now because it looks stupid that they didn't sack him after Bournemouth. Incompetent bunch.

I dont think the board want to spend money in sacking him mate. He signed a 2 and a half year contract and has only been here less than a full 12 months so you're talking about a £10 millions pay off and thats just him not including the backroom staff.

I think the board are more than likely hoping he drags us to 17th come the end of the season then they'll let him have the start of next season to judge if they were to then renew his deal or let him go for nothing end of next season.

Obviously if we lose to Citeh and fail to beat Brighton I think the Southampton game is then make or break in that plan.

Was told yesterday that his family still live in London and he is up here by himself, is this true? If so obviously it was never going to work for him. Like Jose at United when he stayed in that hotel.
Dont get me wrong, i dont have a problem with him for doing that as he has young children, but its one factor that wont help.

The lack of even half-decent attacking personnel is the problem.

Everything comes down to our abject performance in the final third, and that is entirely down to the players available.

All sorts of things have lead us to this place, but I’d rather stick with a manager who has got parts of the side sorted out, rather than binning all that and starting fresh in a January window that will be panicky enough as it is.

There are no good options, but I don’t peg this on Lampard.

Our squad is bad, but it's not THIS bad!
Spot on. They are basically a reflection of the way they are being managed which in our case is by a man who's main ambition at the start of the season was to avoid relegation. The bar could not have been set any lower and that mind set has been instilled in them. They see a poor display and loss as commonly expected now. You can see it in every single one of them. Most of them cannot even pass a ball and there is zero individual accountability.

Most will never be world beaters but they could definitely be better than they have been this season if they were managed better.

When I first heard about this. I thought to myself it's not long term.

He wasnt backed. He had his best player and only goalscorer sold and not replaced

But his record is now truly horrendous and the style he is now trying to implement is passive and pathetic.

In short, we are in a mess we probably won't get out of, even with an inevitable change of manager

I know he wasn't in any way backed, but he spent £75m-odd in the summer.
£33m Onana
£15m Maupay
£20m McNeil
£5-10m Gueye

That's not at all defending the board as they've been horrific and are mostly the reason why we'll get relegated, but Lampard alongside Thelwell spent all of the money absolutely horribly.

Couldn't have got it worse if they tried.
