Onana is actually pretty poor in the air. He is tall but not overly stocky.

Still, couldnt be any worse than what we are doing now.

I don't actually blame Maupay, I don't think he is great or anything but he will never ever succeed in our current set up. If he is anything he is a sniffer in the box who will poke a ball in from 4 yards out etc. We dont get the ball in the box...we barely get it past the half way line!
He is poor in the air for his height no doubt, but he occupies defenders purely with his frame and that could allow space for others who are good in the air. His best moments so far have come when he is further forward and it is worth a go I think before we get the forward reinforcements.

Not going to blame him fully as i stillfeel he should be getting more from this team. But again we cant make any changes from the bench that can help win us the game

What worries me at this point in time, there are long periods in games where the team look like complete strangers, no anticipation whatsoever in runs or passes, we make good Subbuteo or walking football outfit.

I do wonder how the loyal Lampard supporters feel about him blaming the fans for losing to Wolves.

@adi dassler thoughts ?
I think I fit in this category and I was very, very worried. Even though he's not 100% wrong, the main positive he's had is his good rapport with the fans, mostly built on not chatting wham. This feels like a political mistake.

He's not the real problem at the club but he's not the answer either. The problem is that we simply aren't capable of attracting a better class of manager that would actually make a positive difference to us at this point. Who could we realistically get that wouldn't be dragged down by our rancid team? At best we bring in someone who manages a temporary boost to our form that will almost certainly be in the same position Lampard is now by this time next season. We're REALLY snookered this time and sacking Lampard won't change anything.
