Let’s not wet our pants if we lose to Brighton. They’re a very good team and the 2 games after that are much more winnable
I agree to an extent but at some point we actually have to start winning. Losing to Brighton at home is one thing, losing to Brighton at home straight after losing to wolves and Leicester at home is another.

If we lose that we’ll have played everyone except the best team in the country, and won 3 times. I’m not sure we’d be in a position to say we have easier games coming up because they haven’t been easy enough for us to win the first time round, clearly.

Tuchel and Poch are high class experienced managers who have managed small clubs before so I think they’d be fine with this team. They wouldn’t come here though

Prob not. But i still think it would be a tough first 12 months. And thomas frank has been at brentford for 5 years. He's had time to get them to where they are. He wouldnt get that here if he struggled.
Thats the point really. Its hard to judge if you stick with someone knowing that if you sack them you're just starting all over again.
Does it get to the stage we put our big boy pants on stick with someone.

What makes you unsure on Lampard? We have competed in every game this season apart from those recent Bournmouth games which lies with the players
So when does Lampard get questioned for you?

He has something like 9 wins with us. We didn't compete against United, we didn't really compete with Wolves (20th place) we didn't compete with Leicester

My key concern is what I can only describe as questionable managerial nous - it comes down to decision-making. There's a lot to like about him, to be fair.

And, as I've said, he's been shackled by what he has got to offer, but I get a growing feeling that there are too many square pegs in round hole moments.

We saw it last year with some of the setups we had and choice of substitutions (or lack of), and while he's improved somewhat, I still have a niggling feeling.

Don't get me wrong, we have competed a lot more this year and as I've previously said (look in the vaults) I think fine margins have let us down a lot this year.

Does it boil down to him though why we aren't making falling in favour of those fine margins? I'm not saying it is, but I have started to question it.

For example...if a formation or setup isn't working, sometimes you need to change rather than blindly persevere.

Yes we competed with Leicester, did Lampard make Iwobi miss that sitter in the opening minutes? A great goal from Tielemans and they score another when we were pushing for an equaliser. The Wolves game should have been put to bed but poor finishing was to blame. If you want to sack Lampard for individual mistakes then I don't know what more to say.

But the reason those opposition players are scoring those goals is because we allow the most shots in goal in the league. Throw enough at a wall, some of it will stick.

Again, at what point would you think Lampard was responsible for our performances?

Losing to Brighton would be awful.

It would kill any potential momentum after the City game. I mean drawing is one thing, but losing would be quite another.

I think of that Chelsea game for Benitez last season, which could have been a turnaround, but got quashed.

Fair points and I would agree with most of that. Brighton, Southampton and West Ham are all winnable games. If we come away from those games without at least 6 points I would start getting concerned myself.

I’d just prefer to look at where we are at the end of this month which will be around the halfway point of the season

If we were losing 3-0 or 4-0 to teams. apart from the Bournemouth games I haven't seen much so far to be concerned about.
