As u said mate, he was below us last season, cast your mind back to how bad we were, he couldn’t scramble points to go above 2-5 to Watford Everton. If he is so good why didn’t Villa, Brighton, Wolves get him?
I agree. His only virtue is that he has no current club.

I think he might be a divisive character too.

I'd rather keep Lampard than get Dyche in. The feller's a wrongun.

He has only won 9/42 games. One of those was against a league 1 side. One of those was against a non league side

If and when he is eventually sacked, he can have no complaints. He is being given more time and held to far lower standards than any other manager during the Moshiri era. The statistics are horrendous and unacceptable at this club.

If he's still here next week, and I expect that he will be, then it is really must win and last chance territory for him. To give us a fighting chance of survival, we need the 3 points. I dont care how we get them, but we need to find a way, and it starts with us wanting it more than our opponent.
But he won't last this season. No way. Even if we beat Southampton, there's never enough of a stable period under him.

Why didn't a number of clubs pick up Eddie Howe? Sometimes managers are judged harshly and sometimes the foreign darling looks better than a reliable guy who isn't very flashy. I certainly think we could do far far worse than Dyche.
The problem with this belief is that people remember the plucky performances where Burnley scraped some 1nils etc and for a time it worked, was boring as hell but worked. They lost a lot of games too though, without laying a glove on the opposition and leaking goals. If he was Everton manager we'd notice all the failings as well as the turgid football, not just the occasional plucky performance that finds its way through the fog
Dyche is not the answer

9 wins, two of them against Fleetwood and Boreham Wood he has ZERO reason to not leave tonight, if he had any bottle or self-awareness he'd resign tonight. If he does get Southampton or longer I fear for the future of this club
yeah this is wrong, btw.

Look, his record is crap, but let's not twist facts to make things worse.

It's 12 wins. It's rubbish. 9 in the league, 3 in the cups.

What foreign darling? We went for a classic English top player crap manager approach and look where we are

Dyche is just this years Allardyce.
Even if he did manage to steer us out of this mess his head will be called for before the seasons out.

Also whether people like it or not the players are still playing for lamps ( Albeit certainly not good enough ) so sacking him now a week before the saints game will really do wonders for the dressing room won't it...

I'm not a fan of Dyche. He might keep us in the league but people are treating that like a sure-fire thing. Mad when you consider he was binned last year because his team were one of the ones below us at the time.

This is wrong
Your wider point, of course Tim, is spot on.

He's a Kopite with Kopite instincts to see Everton down.

I'd love Lampard to turn this but I dont see it.

There's a danger here that the media support for Lampard results in important decisions not being taken quickly enough.

I dont fancy Dyche, but neither do I fancy Lampard to get the players he needs to get us out of this hole.

It pains me to say it but we need to see a clean break here and for this board not to wait around for the S'ton result...which even if we won it would paper over cracks for another week...and get Frank on his way and another manager in. Who that is I dont know. I'd like Nuno but I doubt we can get him.
Lampard CANNOT get that Southampton game, he cannot. Lose and it’s catastrophic with the fixtures.

Win and I guarantee it’s his last ever win with us but he will get another month.

He cannot get that game.
