IMO this is the relegation battle atm. Even if we had a different manager, with this squad I don't think we'd have more than another 4-5 points, so I honestly think we'd still very much be in it. One or two wins could make all the difference in the world, especially if they came in the next two games. Ultimately Lampard looks like he has little chance of getting those victories, but I don't know what manager would do, that we could realistically appoint, with this squad.

My view on it is if they're going to sack him, then sack him now and get somebody in for these massive two games, with the last 3 weeks of the window to play with.

If not, then back him with signings NOW, because they are needed anyway.

Totally agree he needs sacking now rather than in 2 weeks.

That one win for Wolves below and the one win for Bournemouth, would that be games against us?

It's not 9 wins including those, it's 12. It's still crap, but get facts right.
Sorry 12 wins including cup games.

Here are the facts - he is a poor poor manager at every level he has been at.

they would be.

Don't get me wrong, I think his record is dismal and I can't really argue for him to stay.

I just also think whoever we get is going to struggle unless there's significant additions.

They might be able to squeak out another 10-15% and that might get Everton to 14th/15th in a few weeks' time, but ultimately we'll still be in it because we don't have the firepower to sustain it.

So we need more. And to me the signings have to be a priority because whatever manager we have, they need exactly the same thing: a striker who is an actual alternative to DCL, not a midget, and a competent creative attacker/attacking mid.

all day and unless this happens we’re gone
