I'm normally with you on that, but the 532 seems to work, and I suppose allows us to get personnel in we need.

Godfrey, for all his faults needs to play. If ever there was a guy who can get the crowd up with his commitment its him.

We need to do what we did in the 90s, drop any niceties and fly into teams. Be horrible to play against etc and hope we can nick goals in games.

I honestly think, if we set up and perform as we did last 2 home games against Southampton, we will steamroller them. Given the league table, we will likely be 15th or whatever too, which at least gives a bit of breathing space.
I heard Keane etc last night talk about the dogs of war mentality needing resurrecting. Trouble is, this isn;t the 90s and you cant get into teams like that anymore.

We need determination and commitment, but we also need players who can dictate tempo and, of course, players who can nick a goal or two.

We have it all to do here and wasting time is not an option.

Lampard has to go and his replacement with a couple of players he fancies needs installing now. I think if we let this go beyond the Southapmpton game we're done.

I have to say Dave I'm warming to your idea of Nuno as manager. It's not the most exciting I know and the usual suspects will no doubt have a good whinge about it but it's someone who can come in and who can work hand in hand with Thelwell as they know each others methods. I guess we will see what happens in the coming week or so.

The thing with Lampard is that he's shown in 2 of the last 3 games he can put into action a game plan that could have had us sitting comfortably mid-table if he'd applied it constantly even this season without an in-form goal scorer.

Even now if he committed to setting up that way Il;d be inclined to let him continue because that way will lead to points against worse teams than City and United.

However, he wont do that. Time after time when we had a marginal upturn in fortunes through playing compact he'd then go out and try and play more expansively...and we're back to square one.

I like the manager, but that's why I say it's a no brainer to get shut of him. And it needs doing in the coming days.

I said last night someone like Dyche is ill-suited to the personnel we have here. The solid FBs and big target man and someone with mobility who can play off him aren't here. And he's too brusque for this lot.

Nuno has a good defensive set up and he's a comforter. He'd get the respect of players and they'd want to play for him.

Alongside all the other statistics being thrown out about his tenure, alongside recent results, (taking the City game out were we expected nothing) he managed performances across Bournemouth, Wolves and Brighton to an aggregate 13-3 score so it’s not just the lack of points it’s the manner / scoreline of the defeats. Yes his squad is awful, but he would have agreed with KT the priority positions and the players brought in to fill those positions. He is generally naive and tactically naive, ideological and/or stubborn and should be doing better. It’s as simple as that.

We've been reacting to the same situation in the same way for years. We know the problem rests at the very top so changing manager, and all the upheaval that brings, is just wash, rinse, repeat. And nothing will be any different.
No other manager could get a bigger tune out of this squad. That's not to say FL is the perfect fit, far from it, we could just do without the farce having another chapter we've read before.
By calling for replacements we're doing Kenwright's job for him, giving him something to hide behind, handing him his sacrificial scapegoat.
We need to concentrate on shining the spotlight on him and the rest of the frauds because it's there we need change.
I have a little sympathy for Moshiri, I think he was duped by Kenwright like so many thousands of Evertonians were with his theatrical tales and snake oil salesman tactics. We need to cut the head off that snake and take whatever pain comes with it so we can cleanse this club of his infection.

I agree his time is up but I also agree if he sets up that way gets 2 or 3 players to fit the system. I think we would be fine the questions are we capable of getting the right players in history says no and is he capable of sticking to the plan history also says no. I think as you have all so said Nuno would be the best managerial choice for us at present. let him get a couple of players in he wants to fit the system.
