We've been reacting to the same situation in the same way for years. We know the problem rests at the very top so changing manager, and all the upheaval that brings, is just wash, rinse, repeat. And nothing will be any different.
No other manager could get a bigger tune out of this squad. That's not to say FL is the perfect fit, far from it, we could just do without the farce having another chapter we've read before.
By calling for replacements we're doing Kenwright's job for him, giving him something to hide behind, handing him his sacrificial scapegoat.
We need to concentrate on shining the spotlight on him and the rest of the frauds because it's there we need change.
I have a little sympathy for Moshiri, I think he was duped by Kenwright like so many thousands of Evertonians were with his theatrical tales and snake oil salesman tactics. We need to cut the head off that snake and take whatever pain comes with it so we can cleanse this club of his infection.
I agree with the sentiment of this post and the source of the real problem. I'll never accept that no other manager could get more out of the side than Lampard has, though. It's actually possible - and far more likely - that the real source of the problem is Kenwright and Moshiri AND that Frank Lampard is doing a poor job. Indeed, this defence of Lampard while gunning for the board actually peels away people who want the board removed from any campaign that might actually do that. The truth is, we need a new board AND a new manager.

This

I think he will be gone by Monday, he was so vague when asked about his job
I hope so mate. I have zero trust in the board making the right decision though, I can imagine Bill sat there surrounded by his cheerleaders saying how proud he is off the teams warrior spirit even though we got beat and are out of everything. They are incapable of running the club and will take us down.

I hope that just for once that there is a miracle and they do the right thing and make the change right now before any more damage is done.

But the reality is we cannot do both at the same time.
I don't think Lampard is of no blame in this, or his staff, it takes a special kind of something to make players play like strangers, but we've been here before so, so many times.
Enough of us have called for Kenwright to go since KD & DK and all the other crap, but too many wanted to watch the repeat, all because Kenwright was portrayed as a saviour, by erm, Bill Kenwright. Moshiri bought into that.
I just want the chance to see an Everton without Kenwright and the atmosphere change and how the club operates without the weight of that fraud hanging over it.

Spot on.

And then they keep their place at the club...?

You're probably right that we cannot do both at the same time. It will take far longer to remove the board than it would the manager. Therefore, if we want to stay up (I dunno, maybe we don't...), then the manager is the first fall guy. Sadly.

I completely agree with you about Kenwright: the corrosive cancer at the heart of Evertonianism.

His replacement came in and finished 4th with the same squad.

I genuinely just don’t understand the bending over for Lampard. He’s done NOTHING his managerial career whilst also being one of the worst managers statistically this football club has ever had.
You forgot to add he won the Champions League that year with the same squad!

It'll be tonight or tomorrow Frank will be sacked - or he's getting the S'ton game.

I hope this delay is all about finalising a new manager right now and they have learned the lessons of the recent past allowing a managerial hunt to drag on.

We need to see FL sacked over this weekend and then an announcement of his successor early next week.

And the never ending cycle continues unless people en masse then gives their full attention towards them and absolutely hound the life out of them and Moshiri so much so that widespread change has to happen. Not optimistic about that though. It only took a decent performance with flukey goal and still getting beat 3 - 1 for some people to start backing Lampard again. Good chance we are doomed mate.

You know this won’t be the case Dave
