Yeah, the 6 week break was the time to sack but quite a few people thought it would have gave him time to address the issues and change tactics.

This never happened.
It was never going to happen. He's just not up to it.

People seem afraid to mention that elephant in the room. You could give him all the time in the world - it just won't happen for him.

Just out of interest how long do we trace that back? Richarlison sticks out. How many Everton signings have come here and improved Everton in the last say 6 years under various managers.

Is it managers or are we signing players who just dont cut it/improve.

Im just wondering. More so now as i think he will be gone on sunday and the merry go round starts again.
It's a good point. I would say that some players have had bursts of improvements but then unfortunately revert back to their standard or have become worse.

Whether that's down to the players themselves or the manager is anyone's guess. I believe it's firmly down to the board to be honest and the toxic atmosphere they've create which has been passed on to the managers, players and even fans. Any energy, morale they've had has been zapped out of them. Lampard and player like Myko are examples of that.

Are people pining for Silva now?

The fella was so far out of his depth it wasn't even funny. It was a mercy killing sacking him, just to help save his career.

Apparently he was a really nice fella behind the scenes but came across as drab, unable to explain what he was actually trying to do, stuck with the same formation that wasn't working (what everyone has a go at Lampard over) and we genuinely threw in some of the most horrific performances, the kind where you deserve to be sacked on the spot at full time (Spurs at home and rs away spring to mind)
Those last two are what we'd call expected losses now. People are pining for Silva because he's a major improvement on Lampard.

I dont know the answer mate tbh. Im searching for them like so many others. I do feel character in players is a lot. For example i think if Moyes was appointed manager here one of the first players he would bounce out of this club is Yerri Mina.
Its no error that Richarlison sticks out not just because he was a decent player. But his character gone from Everton is just as much missed. He looked pissed off losing. Some here still i dont think are arsed losing games

I'd say we need 4 points from the next two games, because if we don't get them then we are at risk of being rock bottom very quickly given the tougher fixtures coming up

If we lose tomorrow, he should be gone by Monday but I suspect (given the show of support from Moshiri this week) that he'll be given at least the West Ham game too whatever happens

If Lampard does turn this around btw (and I can't see it happening), I'll credit Moshiri and whoever behind the scenes is urging patience because I'd say that most of us (me included) can't really see any realistic reason why we are showing patience as things stand.

Another day wasted .
Even if we beat Southampton, which isn't garrenteed.
I still can't see him getting us away from the bottom.
West ham away, RS and Arsenal coming up.
If the teams below us win a few games , we could be well and truly doomed.
Should have gone weeks or months a go.

I’ll give you at least £15m of them.

Moshiri is a gambler, if we take points from the next two games he saves £15m on payments out to Lampard and his staff. If he sacks him now then he has to pay that out, and back a new manager and his staff and we could still not get those points.

Plus any new manager wouldn’t be appointed until the transfer window has closed, more money saved.

Nah, the board are s****, but so are Lampard and Myko.. I don't think they're mutually exclusive.

Silva's tactic of leaving the striker up by himself completely exposed were utterly disastrous

Lampard has the power to save his job

Ultimately I don't think anyone actively dislikes him

They may question his tactics and whether he's capable of performing the role, but I see very little instance of people hating him as a person

The board seem to be legitimately hated

If Lampard can get some wins and right the ship, the disgruntlement will remain with the board and a big pressure will be released from his shoulders

Moshiri has really dug himself a hole.

By not sacking Lampard he looks like an utter clueless clown.

If he sacks him after his comments on TS yesterday, he'll look just as equally like an utter clueless clown.
He did the same last year backed Benitez sacked him a week later wouldn't surprise me if history repeated because he is nuts
