Because I have values. Yes, Frank is a nice person, I wish him well.

But it doesn’t sit right with me that a Tory manages our club. Sorry but as a socialist , I can’t warm to him.

It’s not personal. Frank is alright. But as a manager he’s not up to it and his off field political views don’t align with our fanbase.
A football forum though, a thread about a football manager's abilities, is it the best place to discuss your socialist values?

There's a current affairs thread, why not post there, where the general thrust of the majority of threads is politics?

Better still if you feel so strongly, why not put in the ground work and see if you could possibly run as an MP; I'm socialist I'd happily listen to your suggested policies, just not in here.

Honestly mate fair I’d love to share your optimism. My head is on the verge of completely falling off
I dont think many people are optimistic at all, and I'm certainly not. But I think its just daft to think a new manager comes in and these players suddenly start winning. There are no quick fixes here and no manager can make these players win regularly.

1 away win. 22/23 points since he joined, not improved the defence, persists with horrible formation. But you think it's bizarre people are questioning him? Lol.
Take his form from Jan to now is relegation form

Yes, because he inherited a team showing form that was 20th place in the league. He has improved that to around 15/16th place form.

The defence has also improved. This season we have conceded 5 goals in 4 games. That is an improvement!

Yes he got a better return than him. With no pre season and a squad in its knees. So it was a good achievement.

Theres no excuse, theres a season. We had a manager that had 1 win in 14 games and on its knees. These are concrete reasons.

As for the managers, where are they? We have had 7 managers under Moshiri, and 6 of them have gone down as failures. So why do we think we will get a suitable manager if we sack Lampard?

No what Howe did was an achievement, Lampard scraped over the line.

We had a fan base that didnt even want to go in the ground last season it was that bad when big undies was there
We had players that didnt want to be on the pitch
We had players that didnt want the ball at there feet

What Lampard took over was a car crash of bad footballers rock bottom on confidence and zero belief.

He didnt in the 1st season you mentioned though mate, where he went from 4th to 4th. That was a good achievement with no money.

It went haywire 2nd season, and he completely fluffed his lines. They should have been title challengers IMO.

He wont bring players in, so I dont worry about that. I worry about his ability to deal with v high expectations, to manage elite players with huge egos, and tactically manage games, or manage wins most weeks. Fortunately, they are not the challenges he faces here.

I'm not a huge Lampard fan. He wouldnt have been my pick. However, I can give his his due, he did well last season. There is a tonne of context for the raw figures last year. And this season was always going to be tough until we got a striker in.
It is a bit of a myth that Chelsea didn't spend any money. They should have served the transfer ban in 18/19. Instead, they appealed the ban and spent £220m that summer. So over the three seasons 18/19, 19/20 and 20/21 they spent £440m.

Lampard inherited one of the best squads in World football.

Benitez was a terrible appointment but I don't think we can moan about Lampard not having a striker when Benitez's terrible run coincided with both Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison being injured.

We need to support a manager, but not support one because he says the right things. In the 25 league games he’s managed us we have a win % of 28%. The LOWEST of any manager since Walter Smith.

Is it really so absurd that some fans don’t trust the process here?
