Chelsea, 4 shots 2 on target.

Villa, 11 shots 6 on target. Kepa made an absolute wonder save.....

Our mentality is one where we look scared because we are playing one of the big 6 whereas Villa have gone after them, they have a settled formation and everyone knows their job whereas Frank flip flops on formations.

I see Newcastle also gone to Utd and have give better than what they got whereas we let Utd do whatever they wanted.

Do you see what I mean?

And Villa have Ings, Bailey and Watkins up top as well as being at home with a fan expectation to go for it.

We had Maupay, Gray and McNeil away.

I don't understand why you're comparing the two. Swap our front 3 around yesterday and I'm confident we'd have done much better.

Not just yesterday but this season, we still don`t go after teams when we are playing at home... I wouldnt hold Ings, Watkins and Bailey up as an example of the epitome of what a front 3 should be.

They get chances because the team as a whole commit players and can beat a man, they get service from midfield and their full backs, we dont....
How did you get that from what I said? You sure your not a Tory?

I said we need more of the mentality that these teams have and go at these teams rather than be scared and sit off... Do keep up.

Probably because despite all other clubs having their own changes, we as fans still know our own players, our own form, our own expectations. Last season was horrendous, toxic and almost took us down. This season, if we stick together as a club and survive, even if it's 15th, then that is progress and proof we've stopped the rot. Season after, we go again and build on that.

Setting survival as an objective sounds an awful lot like last season and not a lot like progress. A 15th placed finish would be an indicator that all the different changes haven’t brought about a great deal of change.

If we manage 15th this season, then what should be our target be for the season after that… 14th?

Definitely not but we need to change mentality....

We’ve been playing a settled 4-3-3 for a good 5/6 games now, everyone knows their roles

Did you start off last season with the objective of survival in your head before the first game?
