I wish he would give Cannon a game or at least some game time.

It was never gonna work under Carlo, one good season and he was always gonna be wanted by a bigger team, one bad season and he was always gonna be wanted by a better team.Oh I definitely wasn't saying Carlo was a negative appointment. He was -and is- a world class manager and it was an unbelieveable capture to get one of the greats. If we could have kept him, I've no doubt he'd have won a trophy within a few years. He's a winner.
I think the highlighted bit is where some of the arguments kick in. I'm not sure you can simultaneously argue that relegation isn't a consideration and that midtable is a bridge too far, realistically only one of those statements can be true.Think of it as baby steps.
We are so much better than last season, relegation shouldn't even be a thought this time round.
We know there is still lots of work to be done before we can even consider ourselves a mid table side. Let's just be patient and not panic after a few defeats.
Genuinely believe Frank is building something here. With another couple of good additions in January, we could push on some more.
I know it's not fashionable in the modern world and demands for instant success, but we have to stick at it
Yeah but RVN was a world class striker who never seemed to miss inside the box and would guarantee about 25 goals a season. DCL is nowhere near RVN levels of striker quality. Why does he have to have? van Nistelrooy never.

Lower mid?I think the highlighted bit is where some of the arguments kick in. I'm not sure you can simultaneously argue that relegation isn't a consideration and that midtable is a bridge too far, realistically only one of those statements can be true.
I think it's kind of semantics isn't it? For me lower midtable and upper midtable are still, by definition, midtable. I just think if you accept that finishing above say 14th is unlikely then it's difficult to discount the possibility of relegation entirely.Lower mid?
Why?I wish he would give Cannon a game or at least some game time.
How would you fix it Pep?The amount of times he talks about needing to be more clinical leads me to believe he doesn't have a clue. Sure it would be nice if every half chance went in but they probably aren't going to. It's far better to actually control games so you can out shoot and out chance teams. You might even be less clinical and still win! And then when you're more clinical it's hard to lose. Right now we can't win if we aren't and that's a bad place to be.
I'd try to attack some. Maybe pass the ball to other players on my team. How would you fix it Pep?
Im not using any excuse.I'd try to attack some. Maybe pass the ball to other players on my team.
I obviously can't fix it, but I'm sure there's someone that could!
Are we still using the time excuse? I know we can't us the relegation pressure one anymore so why are we still playing utterly crap stuff every week? I'm not expecting to be City but we're Dycheian.
You know what I mean.Im not using any excuse.
You think the manager tells the players not to pass to teammates?
Against Spurs we werent clinical enough, we had 2 massive chances, both spurned, now that wasnt why we lost, we didnt turn up the 2nd half. You know what I mean.
As I said when he comes out and says after the Spurs game we weren't clinical enough I just don't trust that he's got a complete picture of what is happening. Maybe behind closed doors he does but he does this pretty often.
Exactly.Against Spurs we werent clinical enough, we had 2 massive chances, both spurned, now that wasnt why we lost, we didnt turn up the 2nd half.
Its just not working up top, bar a player here, player there, theres not a massive amount he can change.
I dont believe hes telling the team to sit back, im not talking about Spurs, but most games we should have the 2 full backs attacking, a player in midfield, maybe 2 and the 3 up top. Its just not working.
I get it, 2 pretty bad defeats suffered, no excuse, soundly beaten in both truth be told, but its not easily fixed.
Sure, a different manager might make a difference, but we are a hard to beat team, just missing something different up top.
We have some tough, but very winnable games coming up, lets see where we are after them, as I say, Palace is a key game for me.
