Completely inaccurate mate.

I backed Carlo to get a 2nd full season (although I made it clear I wouldn't care if he did a bunk as felt he was more suited to managing elite players than our rag tag bunch that needed micro managing).

I backed Benitez as he had buttons to spend in the summer and the worst injury crisis thats hit the club in decades.

I currently back Lampard although he's making it difficult in doing so with his love of 16th place.

I probably did call for the heads of Koeman/Silva but both had lots of money to spend and couldnt hack it... also at that point in my life I hadn't yet found spirituality.

Benitez made a decent start then won one in 14 or something pathetic. We were on the worst downwards trajectory I’ve ever seen.

Under Lampard we’re still having more bad days than good but there’s clearly improvement in the defence and the midfield.

If he and Thelwell can make that much improvement in one window, he deserves another couple to try and turn around the attack. I think if he didn’t know already, he now knows we can’t rely on Dom to be fit.
Is the midfield actually performing any better though? It’s better in theory, but is it really performing better out on the pitch? How many times this season have we dominated the midfield battle? How many times have we even shaded it? Not many.

It's still hugely problematic for me, gaps between players are too wide, passing is poor, lack of creativity/attacking from the middle and as a unit our midfield just doesn't bridge that gap between the back line and front.

I’d much rather trust the process and give Frank time than wield the axe, get in another manager and then rinse and repeat in 6-8 months time when we haven’t become Galacticos.
This cycle of continuous change needs to stop. There needs to be a realisation that you can’t polish a turd....and whilst you may be able to roll it in glitter you have to have the glitter to roll it in. Getting that sparkly stuff isn’t just a Sunday afternoon jaunt to Hobbycraft.

We can't create space to play in and we can't take away the space from our opponents. It isn't all a management problem but it certainly is to a meaningful extent.

I don't think anyone wants to fire managers season on season. At the same time a manager can't be given time just for the hell of it. There has to be actual signs of a process and movement toward an end point. We're 30 something league games in with Frank and I think it is really hard to say what exactly it is he's trying to build here. So will more time change that?

We wont know till we give him more time.

We're going to have to evaluate progress in the meantime. We can't go down the road with him for multiple seasons and have them just be complete throwaways because it didn't get better like all the signs said it wouldn't.
Look, the signs arent great.

But youve gotta give him a fair crack and on any planet, 7/8 months of football isnt a fair crack, IMO.

I think it's enough time to show what you intend to be. If this is what he's intending to be then congrats, we've uncovered a charismatic Sean Dyche.

If it isn't I don't know what he's waiting for.

The thing for me.

Martinez was very easy to like, he got soak and he was easy to back, he was given 3 years and he stank
Koeman was very easy to hate, arrogant bellend
Big Sam was Big Sam, sacked for being Big Sam, the only manager who can feel hard done by at this club
I liked Silva, but whilst I would have liked to see him given slightly more time, we had folded
I would have killed for Carlo, I doubt he even remembers our name
Stain

Which brings me to Frank.

Theres a lot to like, but results will determine his reign.

Look, I think its impossible that Lampard spends all week in training teaching them to fail 5 yard passes.

Also hes been working with the majority of the players for 3months.
