Mad how people can manipulate stats too depending where you look.

Because if you look at per season they're pretty much the same. Highest Howe has is 1.26. Lampards is 1.24.

Or you just want to talk about the 100+ games Howe managed at Bournemouth to the 30 odd that Lampard has with us? Which is in any comparison isn't a fair metric.

Lampards is not as high as 1.24 though.

It's 1 point this season and the 18 games he managed last season it was 1.11 points per game.

Please tell me your not including FA cup games against a semi pro team to up his total.

There's no manipulating stats there mate. That's stating that Howe's PPG at Bournemouth in the PL is higher than Lampard's PPG at Everton. Lampard's is lower this season than it was for us last year too.

Howe's Bournemouth team were nowhere near PL standard yet he got them punching way above their weight and indeed better than Lampard has managed with our squad.

Whilst your busy cracking one off over him, you also seem to be conveniently forgetting that he got them relegated.

Hold me hands up and just went off footy scores on which does include it. Apologies.

Howes is 1.21 in his 2nd prem season season. His last was 0.90 and bounced between 1.11 and 1.18 the rest.

Lamps has 1.11 and 1 without 1 full season.

Did we pay £90million for a new spine of a team?

No we got what we paid for. 2 young fullbacks (one who actually played) and 2 players no club's wants for zero fees.

So we got what we paid for...a struggle.

And "international" doesn't mean "good".

Donny and Deli would be paid in excess of 100k per week.

Patterson was 16 million and Myko was about 20 million. Donny was a player signed for 40 million and Deli a few years back was held in high regards and valued in excess of 80 million.

As i keep saying money doesn't guarantee success. Look at what Lampard signed in the summer of 2020, he spent in excess of 200 million on new players plus brought in Thiago Silva on massive wages and he got sacked a few months later when 9th in the league.

I am definitely not a huge Howe fan just stating that his record in this league is better than Lampard's - even with a worse team.

I do find it odd that certain sections of the fanbase refuse to criticise Lampard's performances at all though.

I think its cos we all are willing him to do well.

Buying the right player is a separate argument. Howe spent well, hence why they got off the foot of the table. He had the money and used it.

The point is Lampard didn't spend (unless you're talking wages which isn't a barometer) and struggled to get a team who had won 1 game in 14, lost 11 to survive in the league. Howe would've possible struggled here too as he didn't win a game in his first 11 odd games until January appeared.

What they're "worth" previously doesn't matter...the club's were willing to let go of them for "nothing" at that time.

And Chelsea are an odd club. He didn't buy anyone, they were bought for him. Even Tuchel had problems.

It’s because we can see what he’s trying to do and are willing to give him a fair crack of the whip, rather than crying like little girls every time we lose and that‘s without moving onto the select and highly suspect group of soopa blues, who only ever post anything at all on here, after we get beaten.

I'm on board with that but those who do demand a better return than what we're currently getting get called a kopite and all sorts for doing so. His record is only slightly better than Benitez' afterall, some balance is required.

As a casual reader of this thread, I was frankly quite amazed that Lampard has been compared to Howe based on 1.11 or 1.24 goals or points or whatever a game.

No idea why basically. He may bomb out, who knows. But the thought of going back to the circus we have all suffered fills many with dread. At least Lampard cares, we were triffic against Palace, not all that on Saturday. Footie aint it?

Currently it's not good enough.

Our tactics seem to be pass it sideways a few times then back to one of the centrebacks who then passes it back to Pickford to launch up field.

Rinse and repeat.

When you say currently, you mean Leicester. Wouldnt disagree.

But we were pretty good against Palace wernt we?

Fair enough mate, I'm a little envious because I cannot for the life of me work out what he's trying to do to be completely honest.

I think us fans seen him and the club over the line last year and I'm yet to be convinced he has what it take to be a top manager in this league.

I can't see what he's trying to do. What does a Lampard Everton look like? Right now it's a Frankenstein of styles, play out from the back, cross it to the striker when the 6ft one has left the pitch, allow as many shots on your goal as you can.
