Maybe if the virtue crusaders in the media stop blood hounding for a story of a PL footballer coming out, one would, without the associated “hype”, “role modelling” and attention it’s going to draw.
Shouldn’t actually be a story, this day and age, people should live any lifestyle they want without being a “story”, that in itself creates a road block in my opinion.

Won’t lie, never met anybody who was openly gay in my industry, construction.
It’s all very well saying it shouldn’t be an issue in this day and age, but only days ago there was a furore over Casillas coming out on Twitter. Any gay footballer sees the dog’s abuse they got, and THEN sees it being dismissed as a joke and they’ll not bother coming out in a million years.
