The middle aged cocaine hangover is a brutally mental sapping self loathing ordeal mate. They hype may have worn off quickly but I really wish them well.
Nonsense, so far this morning I've polished off two packets of chocolate hob-nobs, mowed the lawn three times and I'm seriously thinking about gate-crashing the Southport marathon now.
Carpe diem ;)

Yes, I am too.

It just soured the night a bit IMO.

There was a feeling he was being exploited by people looking to him to make a statement on their behalf. A trap he fell into.

The whole war thing had been a non-issue in that festival. Yes, people politely heard out the speech from Zelinsky that was for some reason included, but those kids who are at Glastonbury are not open to the cold war stuff - they just want to listen to some great music and dance and have a laugh after 2 years of Covid restrictions. There's been no appetite to propagate any position on any war, and I defy anyone to contradict that.

It was a spectacle last night but it should never have been detracted from by that flag waving nonsense - which was not in synch with the overall mood of the festival.
I could be wrong but i'm pretty sure Macca had a Ukraine flag at one of his other gigs this year.

He does what he wants, he's Paul McCartney, nobody tells Paul McCartney what to do.

Moaning gits get to macdonalds and get a happy meal, chico when you get up in the morning to clean your teeth do you look in the mirror and say who the feck you looking at?

If that was any other artist other than the massively overrated PaulMcCartney , he would be rightfully slagged off for his set. His voice which was never great has totally gone, he rambled on like the old geriatric he is and had to be helped on the songs by some unknown drummer

John Lennon would have swerved that flag waving.

As much as we all love him, the mop top Toffee has always chummied up to the Establishment.

In that song he played last night - the one he wrote after John's death - he wonders aloud what John would have said to him now...I think he'd have said "You're on the wrong side, Paul. I protested against governments and wars, you're taking their instructions and glorifying war".

Just my take on it anyway.

The Hendrix ramble was one of those moments that you wanted the earth to open up and swallow you when you heard it. Me toes were curling.

But the spectacle wasn't the melodiousness of his voice, it was that he was there at all belting out bangers for 2.5 hours and still able to spellbind an audience...for the most part.
