is it though?

There are some older people i like, but i'd have absolutely no interesting in seeing them live as they are passed it.

If i was a massive g n r, when they were big in their prime - why would i want to see that the other night?
I like lots of artists who were in their peak before I was born but I'd still really like to see them live.

I was a big Oasis fan growing up, but that was just after they split. If they ever came back together I'd want to go see them.

Compare a modern Metallica concert to this, night and day difference. Im not even a Metallica fan either but saw them with a friend a few years back and it just lacked intensity. I can't think of many bands who kick ass live more in their older years than when they were younguns.

To be fair this is one of the most legendary sets ever

There is a massive thing missing in that crowd that blights anything today.

Mobile phones.

People went to gigs to actually watch them back in the day. I get the feeling that many people go to Glastonbury to say they have been there these days.

God I'm old.

Rick Astley was absolutely brilliant.

The manics were still the manics - class.

Enjoyed Lizzos performance.

Elton was alright, but prob the right time to be hanging up the glasses.

The rest - pretty meh.

Couldn’t be arsed going if you paid me - sooner watch it on the tellybox now.

New Order is a great shout tbf. Think they'd need to get Hook back on board though. They have the Joy Division catalogue to fall back on too which is probably better than their own stuff IMO. Great live too.
Did you catch Peter Hook and the Light at Isle of Wight recently?

I mean, Hooky doesn't have Ian or Bernard's voice but he put on a great set for 90 minutes doing all the old Joy Divsion and New Order classics.

Getting Hook back with New Order again has to be the Holy Grail....unlikely, but it'll happen before Waters and Gilmour ever get back together!
