True though.
So many great modern day bands and artists who can headline Glastonbury with a great set.
But the crowd these days seems to be a lot more casual so we’re given people like elton John so the crowd can sing to the songs they’ve heard on the radio.
Has a career spanning 50 years yet had a set which was near enough exclusively songs from the 70/80s.
Shame to me to see the festival become so watered down.
Would have much preferred to see somebody like yeah yeah yeahs headline and 20 years ago they would have been.
They just want the big names now for the Tv crowd and casual Glastonbury crowd.
