Alright a little help, since finishing in April for the summer I have put on a bit of weight because I basically just sit there all day and do nothing as I just sit on my xbox/laptop then go out of a weekend and drink (all my mates work in the week so there isn't anything to do). I have tried going on run's but don't get very far as for some reason my feet just absolutely kill when I do it, could this be down to the shoes I wear as I just wear normal Adidas shoes? It's weird though as when I play footy I can run forever and my feet don't hurt. Also anyone got any tips for some good exercises I can do at home that are good for helping me shift a few pounds?

Cardio and diet are the best way to shift weight. All that booze probably doesn't help, but guessing you're not going to change that, so try and do more cardio. Most decent running shops will suggest shoes for you. They should at least get you on a treadmill and see how you run.

I will probably cut down on the booze after my birthday at the end of this month. Started to change my diet, mainly cutting out carbs as I eat a lot of them. Will look at getting a decent pair of shoes to see if they help, might also fix my bike and start riding to work instead of getting the bus or getting a lift.

You don't have to keep it up long-term, but I found keeping a food diary was really useful when trying to trim down, as it's amazing how easy it is to underestimate how much you eat and overestimate how much you burn off. Even if you only do it for a week it'll give you an idea of where your current diet places you in terms of calories in/out

Good shout this. I started counting calories with an app and it put me right onto where the bad things were happening so you start to swerve them.

Brilliant for a month that mate. Just took me ten months to shift 10kg.

I'm doing a month of cambridge diet then a normal sensible eating month. Im laid up for a few weeks now so I;m back on the shakes so I dont bulk up again through inactivity

Lost around 2kg whilst in Italy after riding around 400km in a week with a fair chunk of climbing included. Was proper cut when I got back @ around 5% body fat. Bit too slim like, so adding a wee bit of bulk back now.
