I know, it's what I'm aiming at, cuz I usually get up at 8 and don't have to leave til about 8:50 so plenty of time for a bit of exercise and a shower...

Really want to get dumbbells, but have no cash right now.

I've got a pair of dumbbells but I rarely use them. Maybe before a night out to give the 'arl biceps a bit of a pump. Probably shouldn't have just admitted that. Ah well.

I done chest and triceps this morning, then went for a swim afterwards. I prefer doing weights first thing in the morning when its empty.

I like to go early too but it rarely happens. I was supposed to go at 10 today, and it's nearly 12 FFS.

Might start swimming once a week actually. Haven't done it in years though.

Oh FFS, it's like MickM86 and the broken iphone all over again.

Mick promised us pics, but the phone was broken, he then went round and got someone to photograph him at a petrol station holding the phone, then a picture of that days Echo to prove it was him haha It was in one of his many threads that got closed and disappeared.

Haha about using dumbbells before a night out, I used to that years ago when I was vain and in shape.

10 is not early, 6.30 or 7 bells is the time for me. Can't go in the evening, just full of kids in the evening wearing caps, big headphones and playing on there phones.

Proper infuriates me, I go on a machine and some kid goes " I'm not finished on that " while I've been watching him on his phone for five mins, I just take no notice of them and carry on. Phones should be banned in the gym.
 
Off to the gym now anyway. Hoping there's some nice girls in there today, always spurs you on to do that extra set/rep ;) ;) hehehehehe :lol:
It so does though. When I used to go to the gym before becoming an absolute bum there was this very very fit girl there and she always used to do the very bending up/down exercises and it was so boss. Think I once did legs for so long cuz I was right behind her I could barely walk back home...

Yeah you get a hell of a lot of students in my gym, it's a council gym and does cheap memberships for my uni. The "I'm not finished with that" is easily overcome by asking them "Can I use them/that in between your sets?", they look at you like you've just asked them if they've got a naked picture of their sister, but they simply can't refuse.

I don't understand why people spend ages on their phones, I just like to get in and out of there as quick as possible. I use a stop watch now and time my resting time to speed myself up. What's with the headphones too? I mean, I've got a nice big pair of headphones but I get sweaty enough without wearing a pair of leather ear muffs. Probably restricts your exercises too. I just use the ear buds that came with my iPod. Can't train without music.

It does indeed. You just think, "I don't want this shawdee to see me slackin'', so you pull a muscle instead, like you did :lol:

Went today as well and was told that I couldn't go in because it's womens hour so no blokes were allowed in. They had stickers up at the window as well so you couldn't see in. What's that all about?

That is weird. Some girls do my head in at the gym, you glance at them and they're like OH MY G-HOD I'M BEING VISUALLY ASSAULTED!

Yesterday I had a couple of what looked like 12 year old girls looking over at me a bit. It was absolutely horrible, I felt like leaving.

I was rather busy today but did some sit ups and push ups when I got up. Small steps and all that...

Will go running later this week or next, depending on uni related things, to add to 5-a-side starting next month. Feel quite pleased with myself for doing those things, even though I know it's really not a lot at all. I'm just ridiculously out of shape at the mo', sadly.

Its about getting into a routine mate and changing your mindset. It takes a while but starting is always the hardest. Every little helps lad.
 
Hey I got inspired reading the last updates and went to the gym at lunchtime. Just a quick half hour blast, otherwise it gets too boring. So much easier to go at lunchtime when its quiet.

Weather forecast looks much better this week.. hopefully I can get some proper skating mileage in.

The weather was grand at the weekend, but sadly the roads weren't. Went out for a quick 100km on Sunday and ended up covered in all sorts. There had been a lot of wash from the fields so the lanes were pretty grotty.

Nice and sunny though and pretty mild for January. If you're staying in the parks (or at least somewhere urban) you should be fine.
