Who the [Poor language removed] has time to go a Gym during the day? lunchtime? HAVING A GIRAFFE?

It's fine as it's meant to be used, as a clinical measure and an indicator.

All of these heuristics tend to have a baseline for unhealthy people though. Whenever a doctor/nurse takes my pulse they nearly always think I'm about to die or something (it's in the low 40's). Probably doesn't help that so many health professionals are unfit themselves.

went for a run earlier in the day around about 5km then walked to my mates house and back another few km. Then i had football preseason training with that Ex All Whites player I mentioned earlier. When I said I had blisters before, it was nothing to what I have now. I changed my boots to indoor shoes in the hope that it would be better on my already blistered feet (its the end of summer in NZ so ground is rock hard). So now the whole big toe mound and parts of my inner arch are completely shot and blistered on both feet because of me changing shoes as it blistered the rest of my foot. Hows that for foresight haha.
And to cap it off by the end of the training session i could feel that lactic acid at the back of my throat just burning it up. But its a start, i'm about 30-40% fit which is an improvement on where I was two weeks ago.

I would put pictures up, but its really not a pretty sight.

Had a decent day today....... Took a walk up the mountain near me this morning..... 4 mile walk but it was a lot of climbing/very steep scrambling .... Took us almost 2 hours.... Legs were a bit tight afterwards so I just ran a steady 2.2 miles in 18.28..... Not bad if you take not account the high winds I'm battling against..... And age.... And weight.....and muscle fatigue ha ha

I usually go over lunch breaks for a 40 minute session, which I find is plenty. Your body will respond better to more short but frequent sessions than it will to the odd infrequent long workout.
Also winds me up the number of people I see in the gym who seem to rest for ages between sets and generally do far more larking around than actually working out.

stepping up my training now. Aiming to have 3 days a week where I do 2xsession. Just one session on other days, except Mondays which are rest/stretch day.

I mentioned it a couple of days ago, but does anyone have any personal experience with eat coconut oil ?? As a health supplement. Ive done a bit of research and i was surprised....... i bought myself a 32oz jar of coconut oil and ive been eating about 4 spoonfuls a day. Its organic extra virgin coconut oil.

Come on lads, get your coconuts out :D

I'm a fan of oils in general, so been doing some reading up on coconut oil. I like what I'm reading.. I like it a lot.

Magical healing properties? My opinion is that it's just correcting what's wrong with our "normal" diets.

I found this myself. I go most days and do around 45 minutes of weights then 10-15 minutes of core. I nearly always do supersets with my weights with 45 second rests between sets, I find it's so much more time efficient and I get a better pump.
