Yup. He's a power lifter so... yeah. We still can't believe it either, did 6 reps as well.

Thing is, if you look at him he just looks like a fat bloke, but it's unreal how strong he is. And this is after 6 months of no training whatsoever, other than occasional push ups a few months ago...
Crazy, but impressive, I guess, haha.

Crossfit again tonight for me. I don't love it to be honest, much prefer spinning, but I am on a membership where I can only go to each fitness studio / do each thing once a week.

I need to find another affiliated gym within my package that offers spinning so I can do that twice a week.

Did our club hill climb champs last weekend - three timed road climbs in the Peak, easy riding between them. Brutal stuff, came 9th out of 10 so it was a case of fat lad at the back. Tbf the top 4 were mutants on the bike, then the next two were very good, so you were down to 7th before you got to the normal folk.
Find off-road climbs far easier - it's like all of the technical stuff diverts your attention as you're consistently trying to keep the bike going up over the rocks. On the road, where it's just you, the tarmac, and the watch - very unforgiving.

Back to the dirt and cyclocross this weekend - big race in Manchester.

Hill climb events are brutal. Nothing like continental climbs, but a few minutes of balls out effort is incredibly tough. Here's me photobombing David Millar at one a few years back. Nice when you get women walking in front of you on a 20% bit of road

Tried 140kg deadlifts last night. I managed 1 set of about 5 reps but felt like I was going to faint when I put it back down.

Just bought some C4 pre workout as I think I'd become immune to the stuff I'd been using.

I've changed up my routine as I plateaued a bit so now I've divided my sessions in to a 3 day split as opposed to 5 days.

Day 1: Back and biceps
Day 2: Chest, shoulders and triceps
Day 3: Legs

Abs every other day on top of that. Rest 1 day and then repeat.

It's been going well so far, I've noticed a much better pump this week and the return of DOMS.

Did 3 sets of 140kg deadlifts yesterday, pretty chuffed with that.

Also, the nearest gym to my parent's house has had a refurb and it's ace. Everything is brand new.

Not been for a run or the gym for a few weeks. Scary how quick the weight goes on, but I love my food and beer. Went to work this morning. No belt required. Just telling myself, enjoy it and start again January, but I will be a fat blob by then at this rate.

Fancied a change, so started on the Insanity workout thing which is on the Pulse build on my fire stick.

Just did the pure cardio abs routine and found it a bit easier than I expected. 40 mins and only really got tired on the last 2 minutes which was a minute of burpees and a minute of squat kick things.

Enjoying it so far! the benefits of working from home.

Not a wum, anyone ever used Creatinine as a supplement as part of their training programme ?.

Can it be used with running ?.

I've read quite a bit of contradictiory stuff about it. Some good, some bad and other stuff says that it does nothing at all.

I've been going of a night a lot lately . The amount of groups of lads who go is weird . Little groups of 3/4/5 all crowded round one machine watching there mate while they all arse about on there phones . Bad weirdo's why even bother ? For the amount of effort they put in they may as well sit in the boozer .

Now off for a haircut followed by a short half hour run. Not done much lately, and been enjoying my food. No belt required on my work trousers spells trouble.

I do hiit workouts most days a week now and can honestly say burpees are the actual worst things exercise has ever invented. Just absolute agony. But then you stop and the pain goes dead quick!

Lunge jumps and Mountain Climbers need to do one as well. Suppose they're all doing good though!
