Never go back ala HK 2&3
HK was a shadow of the man he was.

I think the drinking had really taken hold, by the 3rd time, I dont even think he was functioning as a human.

But yes, going back never works out, the old wounds get reopened.

I assume you mean Moyes.

If he walks through the door he already has a vast majority of the fanbase who despise him.

Think sacking Allardyce for Silva was/is always the right call. Silva perhaps unlucky we didn't replace Gana and Zouma. I think it was them 2 he lost that really impacted us, anyway.

There was no excuse for that type of football then either - we were always safe under him and we were bottom of the league for every attacking metric. He also seemed to snarl an hate Everton - never come across at all well.

Like Dyche, I think he's did a tremendous job all considered until this season - it's gone stale/it happens to most managers at some point. But I'd still have sacked him for someone like Frank or Mancini in the summer if the option was there. Football isn't fair.
Out of all the managers we’ve sacked, Silva is probably the only one who in hindsight deserved more time.

Whether he was able to pull us out of the slump remains to be seen though. He looked a broken man in his final days here.

I always recall thinking we should have given Silva more time.

When he was sacked, it was the correct decision, but out of them all, I was more willing to give Silva time than the rest.

Maybe, though he'd lost 8 in 12, got battered against Liverpool to leave us in the relegation zone in December, with a squad much better than the one we have now.

I remember feeling foolish when we got Ancelotti for wanting us to sack Silva earlier for Emery. Those were the days

Just so done with Dyche now. The guy is totally cooked. Fried. Boiled. Flambéd. Time to get him out on the grass.

I would suggest. Bring Potter in off the grass. Get some noise around him. Get the feel of what he's like.

Let's twist. Everton under Dyche are just increasingly unbearable and going nowhere. Almost as bad as his pressers.

Crazy times, Hamez on the pitch, Carlo in the dugout and the fans sat at home.
