Yeah, hes gone to west ham.

Our new owners have lost out on their top target to a club that bans their DoF from the trainning ground and the owners constantly involved themselves in decisions that have nothing to do with them...And we pay more money then.

Dyche till the end of the season it is
Hard to say he’s our top target , like everyone else im sure dyche won’t be here next season but to go from that to saying we’ve targeted and subsequently failed to get potter who is also our number one target seems a bit of leap or two .

I'll be honest, if he chooses west ham over his then he's not the right man for the job (imo) as he's already shown crap judgement. West Ham I think are very much a club in the direction downwards and I think weirdly as a long term project we are gonna be an upwards trajectory

The Everton long term thing is huge and thats even if you get the time and patience to do it.
West ham are a far better attraction right now as a manager. What ive seen of them this season they've got a decent squad and have played some great stuff. They've just looked so open at the back. There's a squad there to work with.
Everton have stunk the place out in almost every game this season.

Interested to see how he goes. He's clearly a decent footballing coach. I think west ham have got this one right if it happens.

If hes not number 1 then why are we going after him?

On what evidence. West Ham have recent European qualification and also won a European trophy with a manager our fans don’t even rate, we’ve been in relegation battles for quite a while. There is absolutely evidence that we are on the way up and them in the way down, aside from pure blue bias.

Was watching potters interview on the hi-preformace podcast and was shocked to hear hed only lost 3 games in the league before he was sacked.

Also in his last 5 games he won 3 drew 1 and lost 1. He'd also just knocked out Dortmund in the CL and moved onto the final 8 of the competition.

He alao had terrible injuries to key players and big ted wouldnt stop buying players even though he asked him not too. Said that he spent the first half of the season trying to bed in players and and keep everyone happy. Then when he felt hed just got a grip of the squad the owner went out and spent another £300m on 7 players in the January and potter was expected to figure it out. Potter also asked Chelsea to sell some players and they refused.

In his initial talks with chelsea he was told hed have 16 elite players and the rest of the squad would be players from the academy. When he was sacked he had 31 senior players in his squad. When they had training matches they had to have two simultaneous matches on different pitches. Sounds like a mad

Oh it was mate, and it is. But better/different managers would be able to cope, but clearly that's not Potters strength. It doesn't worry me though, as nothing he does here will be like that.

Ok, I'll list why I think west ham is in part a poisoned chalice - DoF has been banned by two consecutive managers from the training ground, their ownership model is interesting to say the least, they have major footballing interference from the owner, sacked two managers within 6 months. Power struggle at various levels throughout the club with some very big egos involved who all see themselves as the main person. The new stadium is a pig with lipstick

As I said I think they remind me a lot of us post binning off Koeman right now.

Ofc I'm looking at us through blue tinted specs as well, but new ground, new ownership, almost a clean slate to work with going forwards.

Behave yourself.

We were defo in for him mate.

Think it gives us a glimpse of the type of manager we are after, someone who can transition from a direct style of play to a progressive style of play like Potter did at Brighton and someone who will develop a "project" from the ground up.

As for Dyche, i think there are losses now either way - i think his positions now untenable after the Potter stuff - but who now is available to come in and what terms and how much do we have to deviate from the above to get them - the pool isnt great and we arent attractive right now frankly.

I don't see how Dyches position is untenable.

He has 5 months remaining on his deal. Like he said yesterday he's not stupid enough to think we'll wait until his contract expires and then start sounding people out. It's right that TFG have hopefully sounded a few people out, ideally (for them from a financial point of view ) I'm sure based on Dyche seeing out his contract.

If Dyche thought they'd taken the absolute piss, the floor was all his yesterday to resign with a bit of dignity.

He's not getting results, TFG considering their options. It's no big deal at all and is far better than sacking Dyche then drawing up a list.

I'm not even bothered if TFG have been in discussions for months on end with Potter with a view to taking over end of season. If West Ham have nabbed him well that's because they're a more attractive outfit currently because we've been a mess.

The only reason Dyches position should be untenable is because of results and performances, not due to us having ownership actually doing some planning in advance.

We / nobody knows their target. It's just guess work, speculation at best. 2 & 2 = 22.

I think TFG work their own way I don't like the way they've left Dyche in charge but "I can see a better time, when all our dreams come true"...
