Erm, because our current crisis occured on the watch of the incumbent crisis manager. Ipso facto he's part of the problem.People aren't going to like it, but TFG should be looking at 22/23 if the situation is as desperate. Dyche took us over in game week 22 on 15 pts and kept us up. We're currently on 17 having played 19 game weeks, but going into game week 21.
So what's the point in getting a new crisis manager on a long contract just because people are bored of the face of the current crisis manager?
And another point, if these lads can play football that yields better results than we're currently getting, then why not just go for a non crisis manager and stay up with better football?
On the fence me i get why people have a bad feeling with him, is clear he cant come in and try to make us that type of free flowing passing team over night. Also 100% needs more players to come in but i do think could help to bring more out of the squad, just feel we need a new manager to come in and try make this team enjoy football again get them on the ball to try and play abit.Have a feeling he would come here and fail miserably but didn't want Nuno and he's flying at Forest so what do I know.
Nunos a bit more to our style, I would say
Like Nuno Espirito Santo?
If he had any sense he’ll choose West Ham.He would need to be in ASAP to get bargain players like he did at Brighton - he has patiently been waiting for the right club - he may choose West Ham?
Wouldn't be an impediment. He's talking to clubs and clearly ready to return to management. He'd just resign from that role, it's nothing other than a placeholder with all respect to the PFA.Being reported hes taken up a role as the PFA course Co Director. Not sure how that will allow him to coach a club at the same time
My daughter's under 10s team are learning pass and move at the moment. Scary that we need the same coaching to be applied to a Premier League football team. Dyche needs to go now, it beggars belief how poor we are yet again. Not sure on Potter either. Feels like we need someone to come in with real experience and confidence like Carlo did. But sadly few are of that standard and even fewer would consider the post.I would have some reservations but obviously a better coach than Dyche. Those reservations are more on whether he could handle the pressure at Everton. I dont doubt he is a talented coach.
Not my first choice by any means but there are also much worse options too.
Our central defenders and goalkeeper are the strength of the team so I dont agree we need another defensive minded manager. We need someone to coach the players some basic patterns of pass and move.

You could have made an almost identical argument for keeping Lampard on two years ago. Lampard was brought in when we looked like we were going down under Benitez and kept us up, why not just keep him a year later when it looked like he was sending us down. Answer - because we would have been relegated.
Just because someone kept us up once doesn't mean they will keep us up a second time. He's failing, he's got to go.
Same here, but it’s all about personal preference of a manager you can get behind or believe in. I haven’t believed in or wanted any of our managers since Moyes, there is no one out there realistic who I would be overly excited about. I would have Potter over some of the names I have heard.Yeah that's fair. Just thinking back to the amount of people including me turning our nose up at Nuno. Learnt my lesson. It's hard to judge who would be a success and who wouldn't.
I’d much rather we got Moyes in till the end of the season and get either Frank or Iraola, who in my opinion would be excellent managers for us.There's rumours that the Friedkin's like both Iraola & Frank, but neither are acquirable whilst the season is ongoing.
The goalkeeper and centre halves are the strength of the team. We don't need a manager to make us more solid, we need someone to teach us basic pass and move which will allow us to create 2 or 3 chances a game in open play. He's not saying keep Dyche, he's saying why change one crisis manager for another?
Depends on your definition of a crisis manager - for me, Dyche was hired as a "crisis manager" given we sat 19th, with our lowest ever points total after 20 games having lost 11 in 14, with just sold Gordon/couldn't spend as we got into February.
There wasn't many wanting the job either, Bielsa jibbed us.
Benitez, and Lampard weren't hired as "crisis" managers. Dyche was. We don't need another if the view is we're underperforming and the issue is the manager. So no Allardyce, or Moyes then. They may as well hire who they think is the long term choice.
