Brilliant, never seen those from that position.

My older brother met him after a game he was in a club in town, and one part of the club was behind closed doors, with bouncers on the private function it happened to be some of the blues players, as my brother wandered to the toilet the door opened and he could see someone walking out it was the great man the golden vision , my brother shook his hand had a chat as he had a few he said Alex was so polite and a very nice man who all the adulation my brother gave him was not big headed a very humble individual!

My lads mates mar sid 1 day "my uncle was a footballer, I think he might have played for Everton."

turns out it's Alex Young, she said he never ever spoke about being a player to them and she also used to word Humble. She's noit seen him for yonks due to a family split though

Would have been even better in colour. I was in the kop that day...We must have had half the place that day. Last thing I seen was Sharpies goal though...mayhem after it went in ended up at the back of the kop and couldn't see much. My mate lost one of his trainers after the push down after the goal...he had to walk home wearing only one trainer lol

Great days though.

Too old to move now. Very nice where I live up in the hills of East Lancs right on the edge of great countryside.

Off now with my wife to a family Xmas eve party, so bye for now.

That Leeds team could play football - it just a very nasty streak in the Carlton - Hunter- Giles - Bremner -Lorimer etc our Bobby Collins installed that in them, and their rouge manager Don Reive!
Remember that season when they ran onto Goodison and waved to everyone?1970s place was rabid with hatred to them, remember a nasty mob in the park end waiting for Leeds who never showed up.Think the Leeds goalie got a dart thrown at him,it missed, explains why no scousers on skydarts just now(calm down, that's a joke)

Police holding back large crowds of Everton fans who are queuing for tickets for their teams FA Cup fifth round match against rivals Liverpool, to be played at Goodison Park. Fans queued for 35 hours before the turnstiles opened and the queue was a mile l

One year around then ,they came in the st end very early opposite corner to the church got ran out ,arrived in the parkend got legged into the corner, then the st end lads went over the pitch at them, including me aged about 14 flares bobble hat and silky scarf/boots up my arse combo, dont know what I would have done if some hairy arsed yorkie had fronted me but it felt good at the time. ended up in the bullens by kick off time most had left only about a dozen to see the kickoff
