My older brother met him after a game he was in a club in town, and one part of the club was behind closed doors, with bouncers on the private function it happened to be some of the blues players, as my brother wandered to the toilet the door opened and he could see someone walking out it was the great man the golden vision , my brother shook his hand had a chat as he had a few he said Alex was so polite and a very nice man who all the adulation my brother gave him was not big headed a very humble individual! And what a great fella too,I've been fortunate to meet him a couple of times, they say they shouldn't meet your hero's(Alex is still my fathers god to this day,so he is mine too by associationlol)but he is everything and more you would expect an Everton legend to be
My older brother was - it was a blood bath on the pitch!

That's me extreme left on the pitch.
Had those stupid reactolite specs that were supposed to be normal in daylight and go dark in the sun.
They were permanently dark!
That's the Kemlyn Road we were in.
Looks to be more Blues than reds.
The following morning we left by train for Bratislava.
Possibly the best week of my life.
We beat Man U 5-0 the following Saturday.
No but big attendences I never seem to have made them in the early 1960's as in the terracing it was so packed, the trouble when some dads put there sons on there shoulders, blocking some ones view from behind - I always begged to go to any blues game, I was taken to a lot of Youth FA cup games in the season we won it, sometimes it was down to finances, in my family - I am 61 in January 2016!That surprised me Joey, were you too young.
