Green light for the Super League?

not true. would you stop watching Everton games if the scum 6 left?
I wouldn't, but there's millions of people across the world who aren't tuning in to the Premier League to watch Burnley play West Ham. The money all clubs pay out relies on the television money, without it everyone's screwed. Clubs will survive and there would still be a league, but the 'Premier League' would be done for.

The 6 teams will go to the Premier League and tell them they want to join this new European competition, but because there are a few more games they want the Premier League reduced to 18 clubs and the League Cup to be abolished. That way they can play in both leagues.

5 teams to be relegated then. It gets better :)

So the sly 6 have their cake and eat it, and everyone else gets their crumbs. Sounds about right.

So just like the current champions league.
Indeed, I never watch the Champions League until the semi finals because it's such a yawnfest. To be honest I wouldn't watch this new competition at all due to the static nature of the club's competing. At least with the Champions League teams have to qualify each year.

Never watch the champions league anymore.. all I watch now is Everton and Ireland.. Football has become uninteresting.

Let them go this time. Sick of hearing about it.

I suspect within 3-4 years the players and fans will get bored of the same 19 matches with no threat of relegation. They’ll likely try and worm their way back in once the realisation hits.

I could be wildly wrong, though.
They're not leaving the domestic leagues they just want guaranteed qualification and more European matches so they can make even more money, buy even more players from the "small" clubs and make a cartel of American investors and oil rich states.
