Green light for the Super League?

Only a matter of time.

RS, Manure, Citteh, Arse, Spurs, and 1 other, on a permanent loop of fixtures.

Games to KO at a time that is convenient to customers in Asia and the Middle East. ( minus rainbow laces-armbands )
Just watch the Saudis come in and do a LIV on this. They will fund it and pay top dollar to do so.

It will obviously mean the sporting integrity of it is immediately shot as a number of nobody Saudi clubs will be included in it. Curious co-incidence in recent days that Sky are bigging up that club World Cup baloney in the same place. Getting their foot in early with the power brokers for broadcast rights.

The poster said the Premier League didn't need the top clubs. It does, because it would be done for without them. I didn't comment on whether it would be good or bad.

Glad we agree that it would be brilliant news for the Premier League to go under and bring back the First Division.

Please happen and let the big boys leave.

The scab 6 would want to stay in the PL but the opposition from the other 14 will be too much to keep them around I reckon.

Newcastle could however scupper the 14 majority vote process to kick em out as they would want a piece of the pie you feel.

If people think this “league” is being made to help and support all clubs, they are deluded. The elite clubs couldn’t care less about anyone else. This completion is just designed to keep these top clubs playing each other season after season. It will be designed in such a way, that nobody else gets into that top Gold tier or what ever it’s called. Everyone else will just float around the bottom.

It’s definitely desirable to Americans and fans in the Far East and Africa. They outnumber us legacy fans by quite a bit.

The type of sheep fan that we are talking about will go along with whatever the real fans are saying. The real kopites and mancs aren’t going to allow themselves to be replaced by the sheep; the real fans will oppose this nonsense!

Then there’s going to be a wealth of opposition from the majority of the clubs that would have to be part of that three tiered nonsense Euro league.

Why would the likes of Sevilla, Everton, Aston Villa, West Ham etc agree to be part of this BS system? Especially, if it’s going to completely obliterate their domestic leagues that they are also competing in?

There’s way more opposition than support for this nonsense imo.

They’re desperate!

They’re trying to make the nonsense more palatable by introducing weird promotion and relegations to something that is largely opposed throughout the football world, and was resoundingly binned off just a couple of years ago.

Why would all the other teams that would supposedly make up this three tiered Euro league agree to this nonsense?

So long as they all get kicked out of premier league I’m fine with it, that obviousiy won’t happen though as this is seen as a replacement for midweek European matches not domestic leagues.

The league will eventually happen, the clubs will remain in prem league and will have an even bigger financial advantage over everyone else in the league.

That is the only likely outcome imo

Ok let's say you're 777 and just bought Everton. Then you're approached by a company saying you can play in the "Blue" league despite not qualifying, because you're a pretty big name. You get a guaranteed 14 extra matches plus TV money and if you make the final you go up to the next league. Providing you don't do exceptionally badly you can do this every year. What do you think they would say?

This.

Footy desperately needs a reset, and a breakaway league would have done it. But money will talk, and a dozen or so clubs will find themselves even richer, with an even bigger advantage, with the clubs not involved desperately trying to get a piece of that pie, but never reaching it.

Its the champions league on steroids, and it will happen.
