We would lose the final against Wycombe anyway.

Even if we came second in the group and won the first knockout match we’d have met someone from group f in the qf. No point trying to play the system this time IMO

Why so much hate? I am not saying you have to support them, it is your choice to not support a football team, but strange reasons to go full on hate.

One bonus from Scots latest failure - no need to look kindly on the rat Robertson anymore. What a nasty sight he is to be sure.
 
I hate to say it but if England want any chance against whoever they face next then the two meffs (Henderson and Maguire) have to start. You could see the difference in quality when henderson came on. Phillips was poor and Rice has 1 good game in 3.

It does seem a bit paradoxical how we have a lot of firepower up front and have only scored 2 goals while we have a lot of doubts about the back line but have 3 clean sheets.

While I tend to agree that a lot of our players are overhyped, I think some of the reactions on here are also OTT. England may not be as good as some sections of the media make out but they're not as bad as a lot of posters on here make out.

I'm not so sure we're automatically going out in the next round. I'm pretty certain that no one is giving us a hiding.

Over hyping is not restricted to England.

As for Scotland, I'd love to know how many Euros and World Cups they've got to now and failed to get out of their group. They're yet to play a knock out match at any tournament they've qualified for.

So if we win on penalties, it's a fluke. If we lose on penalties, it's because we're bottlers*

*Not saying you'd say that but it does seem to be how a lot of people shape the narrative at their convenience.

I do think though that although we haven't conceded a top level team like France or Germany will find it much easier to cut through us. Croatia, Scotland and Czech all showed glimpses of the possibilities to create chances against us.

No doubt, but at least come up with some better reasons than a racist past with a minority of the fan group and an accent, if that is truly the case then I guess the hate should pass to nearly every single footballing nation and that is surely way too tiring to hate so many teams.

I reserve my 'hate' (more a very strong dislike nowadays) for one club and one club only, much better for the soul.
